Giants C David Baas (neck) and RG Chris Snee (hip) are not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Eagles. The woeful play of the Giants offensive line doesn't project to turn around anytime soon. Snee could be done for the year and Baas appears week to week. Replacements Jim Cordle and James Brewer are liabilities.

David Baas (neck) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Chiefs. The Giants will be without both Baas and starting RG Chris Snee. It's a huge concern as they're facing the Chiefs' emerging front seven. Jim Cordle will start at center and James Brewer is starting at right guard.

Giants C David Baas returned to practice Wednesday. Bass has been out since injuring his left MCL in the second preseason game. He'll return as the Giants' starting center if he's cleared to play in Week 2, with Kevin Boothe back to left guard.

Giants C David Baas suffered a sprained left MCL in Sunday night's preseason game against the Colts. It's a 2-4 week injury, and one an offensive lineman has a better chance to return from quickly than a skill-position player might. If Baas can't play in Week 1, Kevin Boothe would likely kick from left guard to center. Rookie Justin Pugh could get some reps at guard this week. He's been a tackle to this point.

Giants C David Baas underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow earlier this week. It's the second surgery of the offseason for Baas. In February, coach Tom Coughlin revealed that 31-year-old Baas underwent "a little surgery on his body." He is expected to miss OTAs, but Baas should be good to go for training camp.

Giants C David Baas has agreed to restructure his contract. It's the second consecutive year that Baas has reworked his deal. This time, his $4.25M base salary was reduced to $1.25M -- thus giving the Giants roughly $2M more in cap space. Baas started all 16 games last year.

Giatns coach Tom Coughlin says C David Baas is recovering from surgery "on his body." Illuminating. Baas appeared in all 16 games last season, so it's unclear what might be ailing him. It was more than likely just a cleanup procedure.

Giants C David Baas has restructured his contract. It's believed he's agreed to convert $2.1 million of his $3 million 2012 salary into a bonus. Baas struggled with injury last season after signing a five-year, $27.5 million deal, playing poorly as he appeared in just 11 games.

Giants C David Baas (neck, headaches) has resumed practicing. Baas has missed the Giants' past three games with headaches brought on by a neck issue. Barring a setback, he'll most likely return to the starting lineup for this Saturday's must-win game against the Jets, though coach Tom Coughlin has remained mum on his center's status.

Giants C David Baas (headaches) hinted Wednesday that his season may be in jeopardy. It's still unclear exactly what is wrong with Baas, as his condition is much more serious than simple headaches. He's undergoing extensive testing this week. Kevin Boothe filled in at center last week and Mitch Pietrus stepped in at left guard.
