Williams was signed to the 49ers 53-man roster Friday, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams has been on the 49ers' practice squad since the end of training camp, and took most of his snaps at right tackle. The 24-year-old could see an opportunity for snaps as the teams tries to find out what it's young players are capable of.

Williams ended his rookie season in 2015 on injured reserve due to a dislocated wrist, but it isn't clear what sort of injury is to blame for his IR sentencing this time around. He's still under contract with the Rams for another year but the team could save money by letting him go in the offseason.
