Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Henderson (knee) has a "good chance" to return for the Super Bowl against Cincinnati on Sunday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson last played Week 16, when he suffered an MCL sprain in a win over the Vikings. The Rams got a late-season burst from backup RB Sony Michel -- and now have Cam Akers back in the lineup as well -- but it's possible Henderson gets some touches this Sunday if his knee checks out in practice.

The Rams didn't activate Henderson (knee) from injured reserve in advance of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Designated to return from IR on Jan. 21, Henderson has had two chances to return to the active roster -- also, the Rams' divisional-round win at Tampa Bay -- but he's not yet past the MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered Week 16 at Minnesota. L.A. will continue to lean on Cam Akers and Sony Michel out of the backfield with a Super Bowl berth on the line.

Henderson (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Friday but won't be available for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website report.
EDGE Analysis
The move suggests Henderson has a shot to return if the Rams advance, though he might only be the No. 3 back behind Cam Akers and Sony Michel. It'll be those two leading the way Sunday against Tampa Bay.

The Rams designated Henderson (knee) to returned from injured reserve Friday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This allows Henderson to return to practice, though he won't necessarily be available Sunday against the Bucs, with Rams coach Sean McVay suggesting earlier in the week that he didn't expect any of his players on injured reserve to be "part of the conversation" for the divisional round, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Even if that's changed, Henderson may only be the No. 3 back at this point, after Cam Akers and Sony Michel split work in the team's wild-card win over Arizona.

The Rams placed Henderson (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson sustained an MCL sprain in his right knee this past Sunday in Minnesota that will require him to sit out three games before he can return to the active roster. His next potential appearances depends on the Rams' eventual seed, but in the meantime Sony Michel is expected to be the team's lead running back. Michel may welcome back Cam Akers to the lineup as soon as Sunday in Baltimore, as the latter is completing a much quicker than anticipated recovery from a torn Achilles suffered in July. Aside from Michel and Akers, Jake Funk and Buddy Howell are the other players at the position on L.A.'s active roster.

Coach Sean McVay relayed Monday that the Rams plan to place Henderson on IR due to an MCL injury, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com and Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic report.
EDGE Analysis
The running back is dealing with an MCL sprain and presumably will target a potential return to action during the postseason. In his looming IR stint -- which should be made official in the coming days -- Sony Michel is poised to head the Rams' backfield, while McVay noted that it's possible Cam Akers could see playing time as early as this weekend's game against the Ravens.

Henderson won't return to Sunday's contest at Minnesota due to a knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson was shaken up after his only touch of the game (a 17-yard carry) and now won't contributed to the Rams offense again Week 16. At the time the injury was announced, Sony Michel had taken the bulk of the RBs reps for the team, with 19 carries for 111 yards and one touchdown and one catch (on four targets) for four yards.

Henderson (protocols) rushed six times for 23 yards and caught both of his targets for four yards in Tuesday's 20-10 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson returned from a two-game absence to find out he was no longer the clear lead back for the Rams. Head coach Sean McVay stated before the contest that he would deploy a timeshare between the 23-year-old and veteran Sony Michel, who performed well as the fill-in starter over the last two weeks. The Rams held a lead for much of the second half, so Michel -- who profiles better for early-down work -- saw an 18 to eight advantage in total touches. Henderson is a dynamic back who will get more usage in matchups that require a faster-paced offense, so fantasy managers shouldn't jump ship after this poor showing.

Rams head coach Sean McVay hinted that Henderson may be deployed as part of a timeshare out of the backfield with Sony Michel during Tuesday's game against the Seahawks, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports. "We'll use them both. Sony has done a great job these last couple weeks. We know how reliable Darrell is," McVay said. "So, both of these guys, if they're both up and available, we'll utilize both those guys. As far as the starter, who gets more, it'll be a feel for the flow of the game. I look at it as like we have two starting backs."
EDGE Analysis
McVay has largely eschewed a timeshare arrangement this season, as Henderson has played no fewer than 59 percent of the offensive snaps in any of his 10 appearances, while Michel has logged at least 73 percent of the snaps in each of the three games that Henderson has missed. However, after Michel averaged a solid 4.5 yards per carry over the past two games while Henderson was out Week 13 with a thigh injury and Week 14 due to a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list, McVay could be more inclined to find room for both backs in the Week 16 game plan. Henderson should garner the start by virtue of having resided atop the depth chart before he missed time, but it wouldn't be surprising if McVay favored the hotter hand between the two backs as the game rolls along. Even if he loses out on some carries, Henderson should at least serve as the Rams' preferred pass-catching option, given the lack of aptitude Michel has shown in that area throughout his career.
