Former Falcons WR Darius Johnson was arrested for DUI on Thursday. Johnson was released by the Falcons on Friday, but the team refused to say if the arrest played any part. "I'm not going to comment on the reason that Darius was released," Falcons coach Mike Smith said. "We never do. There was a transaction that we put in today and he is no longer a member of our team." A diminutive, speed-deficient prospect, Johnson may have trouble latching on with another team.

Falcons waived WR Darius Johnson. Johnson caught 22 passes for Atlanta in 2013, but managed under 10.0 yards per reception and is a small, speed-deficient prospect at 23 years old. UDFA Bernard Reedy now has improved odds to make the Falcons' 53.

Johnson is ahead of Drew Davis on the depth chart, but little more than a WR5 for fantasy purposes.
