Wally's World - Week 13 fantasysharks.com Mon 11/24/14 10:15 AM

With the conclusion of a pair of Monday Night Football gameswe will have cleared the bye weeks for 2014. What a Sunday it was as five running backs scored multipletouchdowns and four wide receivers did the same. As the fantasy playoffs approach, offenses are heating up andit looks like it will be an outstanding stretch run this year for fantasypurposes. Here are some things that caught my eye from Week 12 so far... The Oakland Raiders notonly got their first win but also found their running back of the future. It was a shame to see LataviusMurray leave the game so early with a concussion because the kid was on hisway to a HUGE game. It's not like 23 points on four touches is anything tosneeze at. Hopefully, the ten days off will be sufficient for Murray torecover because he is going to be fun to watch down the stretch. So now it's 11 games without a touchdown reception for a Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver. That's mind-boggling as well as a statement about the veryweak wide receiving corps they are rolling out on a weekly basis. Hey, Daniel Thomas isstill on the Dolphins. I had almost forgotten that. I bet Lamar Miller ownershaven't. Hate the touchdown vultures. Nobody comes off a suspension as well as Josh Gordon. Now if he can just cut down on the suspensions. The kid isspecial. The Detroit Lions offenseis deplorable. Oh, yeah. Let's go ahead and chalk up Eric Ebron as another wasted Lions' draft pick. Apparently, they justwant to have another brick-handed tight end in place for when Brandon Pettigrew moves on. Really like the way IsaiahCrowell runs the ball. The Browns look to have solidified their runninggame for the next few years. The combo of Crowell and Terrance West is a solid backfield indeed. The Denver Broncos suddenlylook very beatable...and not just on the road. The Dolphins moved the ball almost at will this week. Thisshould make for some interesting NFL playoff games. Love rookie wide receiver Jarvis Landry for Miami. Wish I owned him in more leagues.Especially dynasty formats. Looks like the obituary for the Seattle Seahawks may have been written a little prematurely. That is a different defense with Bobby Wagner and if he can stay healthy...look out. I realize I will be at least the 100th person tosay this, but I'm guessing LeGarretteBlount didn't really learn any life lesson from Mike Tomlin and the Steelers last week. Imagine what kind of numbers Alfred Morris could put up if Washington had a hint of ...

Wally's World - Week 11 fantasysharks.com Mon 11/10/14 6:45 AM

I would like to take a minute to thank the Green Bay Packersand Chicago Bears for engaging in such a titanic beatdown that I was able tostart this article extra early. When Matt Flynn entersthe game my lap top flips open. Another week nearly in the books and another six-touchdownperformance is put on the board. Tell me again how the NFL hasn't skewed the gametotally in the favor of quarterbacks? Oh yeah...this article is brought to you mainly by the healing(or at least the getting me out of bed) powers of Thera-Flu. Here are somethings that stood out this week through my sneezing, coughing and bleary eyes... Terrance West looksto have firmly grabbed the lead back role in Cleveland. Unfortunately, histeammates sharked those two touchdowns and will likely continue to eat into hisnumbers. I'm going to say it. AndyDalton played like a man who arrived at the game fresh from ‘Happy Hour' atthe local watering hole. That was as bad a game from a quarterback that I canremember and I am a long-time Lions' fan (so I know bad quarterback play...trustme). Just like that we love GiovaniBernard again. The Jeremy Hill bandwagonhas officially blown a tire. Even though the ClevelandD/ST has been a top-10 unit the last few weeks, I will go out on a limb(albeit a very small one) and say RyanMallett finishes with better numbers against them than Dalton had. I'm a prediction daredevil, eh? The Detroit Lions offenseseems to take long breaks during games but the combination of a healthy Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate are going to eat up a lot of secondaries movingforward. If only StevenJackson could play against the Buccaneers every week. Sadly, he can't andchasing his good week will only bring fantasy owners heartbreak. The shine has certainly come off Terrance Williams in Dallas. Yes, that was a goose egg he just putup against the Jaguars on Sunday. Call me crazy, but the 49ers offense just looks a lot betterwhen they actually give the ball to FrankGore. Forget all that ‘keeping him fresh for the playoffs' junkbecause if they don't keep winning there won't be any playoffs to be fresh for. I liked the way DamienWilliams ran and caught the ball for Miami this week. He's the guy Ihandcuff to Lamar Miller as Daniel Thomas is...well, Daniel Thomas. All the fantasy owners riding Ronnie Hillman the past few weeks are suddenly very nervous. And they should be. It's going to be a three-headed monster heading forward with Montee Ball due to return as C.J. Anderson...
