Samuel agreed Wednesday with Washington on a three-year, $34.5 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a career year in Carolina, Samuel should slot in as the new No. 2 receiver in Washington as he reunites with former Panthers head coach Ron Rivera. Samuel will provide Washington with another dynamic weapon to pair with other top offensive talents in Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson. Samuel's signing could also help set in motion additional deals for the other high-end wideouts in this year's free-agency class, Kenny Golladay and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Samuel caught seven of 11 targets for 118 yards and gained six yards on three carries during Sunday's 33-7 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Samuel led the team in targets and receptions as he set a new career high in receiving yardage. This big game caps off what has been a breakout year for Samuel, who set new high marks in receptions (77), receiving yards (851) and scrimmage yards (1,054), all while posting a stellar catch rate of 89 percent. Samuel will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and should command a significant amount of interest from teams in need of a dynamic playmaker on offense.

Samuel recorded five receptions on five targets for 106 yards in Week 16 against Washington. He added seven rush attempts for 52 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Samuel led the Panthers in both rushing and receiving yards, torching the Washington defense for several big plays. Nearly all of his rushing production came on a run off the right side of the line as he dragged defenders for a 45-yard gain early in the second quarter. Samuel was also productive through the air, logging 44-, 22- and 16-yard receptions to reach 100 receiving yards for the second time this season. He'll look to close the season strong in a Week 17 matchup against the Saints.

Samuel secured four of nine targets for 42 yards and rushed twice for six yards in the Panthers' 24-16 loss to the Packers on Saturday night. He also fumbled once but recovered.
EDGE Analysis
The versatile wideout paced the team in targets while checking in second to DJ Moore in both receptions and receiving yards. Samuel's catch and receiving yardage totals were both his lowest figures of the last four games, however, so he'll look to bounce back with better production in a Week 16 matchup against Washington on Sunday, Dec. 27.

Samuel (hamstring) is listed as active for Saturday's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
As long as the versatile Samuel avoids any in-game setbacks, he should see his share of touches Saturday, even with DJ Moore back from the COVID-19 list. Through 12 games this season, Samuel has logged a 61/585/3 stat line as a receiver, while adding 29 carries for 139 yards and a pair of scores via the ground game.

Samuel (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Green Bay, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
After going through the practice week unscathed prior to Thursday, Samuel made a surprise appearance on the final Week 15 injury report as a limited participant, clouding his status for this weekend. He's so far putting together his best season as a pro, with 724 yards from scrimmage and five total touchdowns in 12 contests. The Panthers will make a decision on Samuel's status about 90 minutes before Saturday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Samuel corralled seven of nine targets for 68 yards, adding two carries for 22 yards during Sunday's 32-27 loss to Denver.
EDGE Analysis
No matter that a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list held Samuel to just one practice session this week, he and Robby Anderson remained the clear-cut No. 1 and 2 options for signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater. With DJ Moore (ankle) remaining on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Samuel attracted three times as many targets as the Panthers' third-leading WR, translating that volume into his third consecutive outing with 65-plus receiving yards. The Ohio State product also boasts five total touchdowns heading into a Week 15 matchup against Green Bay's 15th-ranked scoring defense.

Samuel is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos, David Newton of ESPN.com reports,
EDGE Analysis
It's worth noting that the Panthers are listing Brandon Zylstra as a starter opposite Robby Anderson on Sunday, but that could simply be a nod to the fact that he practiced more this week than Samuel, who was limited to one day of practice after being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. With that in mind, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site doesn't believe that Samuel's level of playing time will be impacted much, despite the team's posted Week 14 starters.

Samuel (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and is practicing Friday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old landed on the COVID list Monday, but he apparently tested negative for the virus all week and was able to make a quick return to the active roster. Fellow wideout DJ Moore (ankle) remains on the COVID list for now, and Samuel could have a larger role Sunday versus Denver should Moore be unavailable.

Samuel (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday as a close contact, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Samuel will be required to isolate in quarantine as a result of his placement on the COVID list, but as long as he's able to continue returning negative test results, he could gain clearance in time for Sunday's game against the Broncos. It remains to be seen whether the same can be said for fellow starting wideout D.J. Moore (ankle).
