Stevens has opted to retire from the NFL, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens has spent his entire eight-year career with the Titans, finishing with totals of 60 receptions for 724 yards and six touchdowns. The 31-year-old has been relegated to blocking duty throughout the majority of his time in the league, but was able to carve out a solid career and will now move on to the next chapter in his life.

Stevens re-signed with the Titans on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The details of Stevens' contract have yet to be revealed, but the blocking tight end will be returning to the Titans for his ninth season. He hauled in 12 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns last season. Stevens isn't generally a factor in fantasy formats due to the presence of better pass catching options such as Delanie Walker at tight end.

Stevens caught his lone target for 8 yards in Sunday's 34-6 loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens has just 12 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns this season. The tight end is an afterthought in a terrible offense.

Stevens caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens has scored in consecutive games, but it's tough to get too excited about his recent success considering the 31-year-old has just six career touchdowns in eight NFL seasons. Don't expect much from Stevens next week against the Jets, as he has just 10 receptions this year.

Stevens one of his two targets for a 20-yard touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
The blocking tight end made his first catch since Week 9 count, scoring his first touchdown of the season. While he sees the field a fair amount, Stevens is barely ever targeted in the passing game. Delanie Walker is still the tight end to own in Tennessee.

Stevens caught 2-of-3 targets for 25 yards Sunday against the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens saw a healthy amount of playing time, getting 40 offensive snaps while Delanie Walker got 47 and Anthony Fasano played 34. The problem with Stevens is that he's used almost exclusively in a blocking role, thus limiting his fantasy value no matter how much he plays.

Stevens caught his only target for nine yards Sunday in Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens is yet to score this season, and hasn't topped 29 yards in a game. There are better options to be had at the tight end position, especially with Tennessee's offense struggling as mightily as it has been recently.

Stevens picked up a one-yard reception while seeing two targets in Sunday's loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
A healthy Delanie Walker saw the majority of the action at tight end, leaving very few scraps for Stevens to pick up. Stevens is a good blocker, but he doesn't offer much receiving upside.

Stevens caught both of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens out-produced fellow backup tight end Anthony Fasano (one catch for 26 yards), but the two only saw a combined four targets while Delanie Walker got 10. The blocking tight end generally isn't much of a fantasy factor.

Stevens caught one pass for 13 yards Sunday against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Stevens is buried deep down the tight end depth chart, but he moved up a spot with Delanie Walker (hand) missing the contest due to injury. Even if Walker is forced to miss more time, Anthony Fasano and even Chase Coffman are significantly better pass-catching options at the position for the Titans.
