Johnson played well during Saturday's scrimmage and was a favorite target of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Ashlyn Sullivan of the Jaguars' official site reports
EDGE Analysis
Johnson caught a pair of touchdowns and also had three straight receptions on another drive as he's clearly established an early rapport with the rookie signal-caller. The second-year wideout opened camp No. 4 on the depth chart, but an opportunity may have opened up after DJ Chark recently underwent surgery to address a hairline fracture in his finger. Chark is expected to be available for the season opener Sept. 12 in Houston, but it still should provide Johnson more chances to work with the starting offense during the preseason. Johnson totaled only 272 receiving yards as a rookie last year, but he flashed his potential with eight catches for 162 yards and a touchdown Weeks 12 and 13. He's unlikely to have much fantasy relevance if Chark, Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault are able to play, but Johnson could be in prime position to step up should the opportunity arise during the regular season.

Johnson (hamstring) is poised to enter camp as Jacksonville's No. 4 wideout after the signing of Marvin Jones, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old came on strong during the second half of 2020 before the hamstring injury sidelined him for the final two weeks of the season, but he won't begin camp in line for a significant role. Johnson, a 2020 fifth-round pick, flashed his potential with eight catches for 162 yards and one touchdown between Weeks 12 and 13 last year, but he wasn't a likely bet to open 2021 as the team's No. 3 wide receiver. He still figures to be involved in the offense, but Jones, DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault should start out as the Jaguars' top wideouts.

Johnson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson had previously been ruled out for the season finale, but he'll officially shift to IR as the Jaguars signed Terry Godwin to the active roster in a corresponding transaction.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone ruled Johnson (hamstring) out for Sunday's game against the Colts, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
The hamstring injury will cost Johnson the final two games of his rookie season, but before getting hurt, the 23-year-old likely did enough to lock up a regular spot in Jacksonville's receiver rotation entering 2021. Over his 14 appearances this season, Johnson hauled in 18 of 31 targets for 272 yards and two touchdowns.

Johnson (hamstring) won't play Week 16 against Chicago, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was sidelined for a third straight practice Friday, eliminating his chance of suiting up Sunday. The rookie receiver has tailed off since tallying four catches for 96 yards and a touchdown Week 12 versus Cleveland, but his absence this weekend will affect the Jaguars' depth at wideout. Chris Conley should benefit the most from Johnson's absence, as he now has a clearer path to seeing work when one of Jacksonville's top three receivers -- DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault and Keelan Cole -- subs out of the contest.

Johnson (hamstring) did not participate during the Jaguars' practice session Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie wideout's Week 16 status stands in question, after he exited last Sunday's loss to the Ravens with his hamstring injury. Given a pair of subsequent practice DNPs Wednesday and Thursday, Johnson is seemingly in danger of missing his first game action of 2020. The Texas product has posted 11 catches for 203 yards and a touchdown over his past four appearances, boosted largely by a four-catch, 96-yard performance Dec. 6 against Minnesota.

Johnson (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie fifth-round pick was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Ravens due to a hamstring issue, so it's worrying to see him sidelined at practice. John Shipley of SI.com reports that coach Doug Marrone didn't express optimism about Johnson's chances of playing Week 16. Chris Conley would stand to handle increased snaps if Johnson misses Sunday's upcoming home game against the Bears.

Johnson is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Ravens due to a hamstring injury, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old was responsible for Jacksonville's only catch of the first quarter with an eight-yard reception, but he was forced to exit due to the injury. Chris Conley will see increased work as the team's No. 4 wideout if Johnson cannot retake the field.

Johnson caught two of three targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie fifth-round pick had eight receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown over the previous two contests, but he received only three targets during Sunday's blowout defeat. Even with Jacksonville trailing all day, Johnson played only 19 of 71 offensive snaps and remains clearly behind DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault and Keelan Cole on the depth chart.

Johnson caught four of six targets for 66 yards and also hauled in a two-point conversion in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson led the Jaguars in receiving yards for the second straight week, and his game-tying two-point conversion with 1:08 remaining sent the contest to overtime. The rookie fifth-round pick's role in Jacksonville's offense is growing down the stretch, and he'll benefit from a favorable Week 14 matchup against the struggling Titans secondary.
