Bills waived G/C Colin Brown.
Brown started the Bills' first five games at left guard, but struggled mightily, grading out as Pro Football Focus' worst guard. He was benched for Doug Legursky in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, playing only 12-of-70 snaps. Brown beat out Legursky in camp, but the Bills were clearly dismayed at what they saw. Legursky can't be any worse than Brown was, but it's still surprising Buffalo isn't keeping him around as depth.

BuffaloBills.com expects G/C Colin Brown to be the team's Week 1 left guard.
Brown passed up Doug Legursky early in camp, and hasn't looked back. A 2009 fifth-round pick of the Chiefs, Brown has made just two career starts.

Colin Brown is expected to start at left guard in the Bills' first preseason game.
Brown worked with the first-team offense during practice Friday and has surpassed Doug Legursky on the depth chart. Regardless of who wins the starting job, the Bills interior line is a concern going into 2013.

Bills re-signed restricted free agent T/G Colin Brown to an undisclosed contract.
It sounds like Brown took less than the $1.3 million it would have cost the Bills to tender him at the "original pick" level. Brown, 27, made one spot start in 2012 before suffering a year-ending hamstring injury. His position flexibility helps, but Brown will have to compete to keep his roster spot in 2013.

Bills RG Colin Brown sustained a potentially serious hamstring injury in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the 49ers.
The Bills' offensive line is absolutely decimated by injury. Kraig Urbik (ankle), Cordy Glenn (ankle), Chad Rinehart (hamstring) and now Brown are all down. They're expected to call up at least two offensive linemen from the practice squad ahead of Week 6.
