Head coach Jim Caldwell implied Wick (chest) isn't dealing with a serious injury, Justin Rogers of the Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wick, who sustained an unspecified injury to his chest during Friday's exhibition against the Patriots, is competing with rookie Michael Roberts for the No. 3 gig at tight end. Avoiding a multi-week absence will be key to not only winning the job battle but also securing a spot on the final roster.

Wick (chest) won't return to Friday's preseason game against the Patriots, Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
The nature of Wick's chest injury wasn't reported. His absence should open more opportunities for fellow pass-catching tight ends Michael Roberts and Robert Tonyan.

Wick sat out Wednesday's practice with an undisclosed injury, Mike Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wick joined injured fellow tight ends Eric Ebron (hamstring) and Tim Wright (undisclosed) on the sideline. The 23-year-old is competing with Wright, Darren Fells, and rookie Michael Roberts to backup presumed starter Ebron.

Wick worked with the first-team offense Monday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Eric Ebron (hamstring) sidelined, Wick and Darren Fells served as the team's top two tight ends Monday. While it comes as no surprise that Fells was given those reps, it's interesting that Wick got the nod over fourth-round rookie Michael Roberts. The tide could always change in short order, but Wick nonetheless appears to be well on his way towards securing a roster spot ahead of the regular season.

Wick (knee) is healthy and "itching to get back" on the field, The Detriot Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wick finished the 2016 season on injured reserve after tearing up his knee in Week 7. He declined to say whether he required surgery or not, but, regardless, he's healthy now and fully expected to attend voluntary offseason workouts in April. Outside of starter Eric Ebron, Wick is the only tight end under contract through 2017 who played a down for the Lions last year. Thus, he currently appears to be the frontrunner for No. 2 duties next season, although Detroit could always bring in competition for the role via free agency or the draft.

Wick (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, MLive.com's Kyle Minke reports.
EDGE Analysis
An undrafted rookie, Wick briefly got some snaps on offense while Eric Ebron was sidelined with knee and ankle injuries. The Lions clearly like Wick enough to keep him around as a long-term project, but his path to playing time probably won't look too much rosier next season.

Wick (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans, Kyle Meinke of the MLive Media Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wick's knee issue kept him limited during Friday's practice, while Khari Lee could see an expanded role at tight end Sunday. Wick's next opportunity to return will be Week 9 against the Vikings.

Wick (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Houston, Time Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wick didn't appear on the Lions' injury report until Friday, when he was limited at practice. The specifics of his injury are unclear beyond it being a knee issue and his status is truly up in the air for Sunday. Khari Lee may see some extra snaps if Wick is held out against the Texans.

Wick was held without a catch Sunday against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Although starting TE Eric Ebron (knee) was sidelined for another week, Wick barely saw the field yet again. Instead, he ceded snaps to Clay Harbor and Khari Lee, who both serve as more traditional, in-line blocking specialists. It's unclear if the Lions' coaching staff lacks confidence in the rookie or if they simply prefer to lean on their wide receivers, but, either way, Wick has fallen off the fantasy radar.

Wick played on just three offensive snaps against the Eagles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With Eric Ebron (knee) ruled out for the contest, it seemed as if Wick -- who practiced with Detroit's first-team offense when Ebron was sidelined during training camp -- would get the start and see extensive playing time. However, the Lions instead opted to start offensive lineman Corey Robinson at "tight end" and kept him there 19 of 61 offensive snaps. Furthermore, newly-signed TE Clay Harbor also saw more action than Wick, logging 23 snaps of his own. Thus, it appears Wick hasn't developed enough as the Lions would have liked and is clearly off the fantasy radar at this point in his career.
