Core caught three of five targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
The former Bengals castoff is getting a chance to play meaningful snaps for Big Blue with Sterling Shepard (concussion) and Golden Tate (suspension) unavailable. Tate will sit out two more games while Shepard may not be ready in time to take on Tampa Bay in Week 3, so Core could continue to factor into New York's low-octane passing offense.

Core was claimed by the Giants on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Core finds himself on the Giants' active roster after being waived by the Bengals on Saturday. In limited action for the Bengals in 2018 he recorded 13 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown across 13 games. With the Giants he'll figure to operate as a depth receiver and special teams player.

Core was cut by the Bengals on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Core was let go comes as a bit of a surprise, considering he accumulated 30 catches for 360 yards and one touchdown over the past three seasons and had familiarity with the team. Core could find himself on another roster elsewhere before too long, especially when you consider his impact on special teams (189 snaps last season).

Core hauled in five of his 10 targets for 75 yards in the team's preseason finale against the Colts on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Core was only overshadowed by Ventell Bryant, as he finished second on the team in yards, targets and receptions. The highlight of his performance came at the end of the first quarter when he hauled in a 39-yard pass from Jake Dolegala. Though he was originally expected to vie for a starting role after A.J. Green (ankle) went down early in training camp, he has been surpassed on the depth chart by Damion Willis and is now a potential cut as the team trims the roster.

Core caught two passes for 30 yards in the Bengals' second preseason game against the Redskins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Core was targeted only twice, though he did manage to convert both for receptions. He wasn't targeted by starter Andy Dalton, with his production instead coming in combination with rookie quarterback Ryan Finley. Core had been working with the first team immediately after A.J. Green (ankle) was sidelined, though Josh Malone and Auden Tate were both on the field with the first team in Thursday's contest. Core was used heavily as a special teams contributor in 2018, and it appears that will be his primary role once again if he manages to stay on the roster.

Core is working as the No. 2 receiver while A.J. Green (ankle) and John Ross (hamstring) recover from injuries, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross is expected to miss at least a couple weeks of practice, and Green appears no better than questionable for Week 1. The Bengals badly need someone to step up alongside Tyler Boyd, who was their only reliable pass catcher after Green suffered a season-ending toe injury last year. A 2016 sixth-round pick, Core has caught 30 of 59 targets for 360 yards (6.1 YPT) and one touchdown in 35 career games, playing nearly as many snaps on special teams (465) as on offense (636). He hasn't provided much cause for optimism, but the opportunities at least will be there this summer.

Core (elbow) has been practicing during mandatory minicamp, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
Core suffered a dislocated left elbow in the Bengals' season finale against the Steelers. There has not been much news regarding the injury since, but he has been a full participant at mandatory minicamp. He will be batting to again earn a spot on special teams and as a depth receiver during training camp.

Core left Sunday's Week 17 game against the Steelers with what appeared to be a dislocated left elbow.
EDGE Analysis
It looked as if the Bengals' medical staff had to pop Core's elbow back into place right on the field, and place the left arm in an air cast even before he left for the locker room. The Bengals have run out of healthy receivers to finish the season. They'll finish out this game with John Ross, Alex Erickson, Auden Tate and Josh Malone.

WR FA
Core caught two of three targets, accumulating a season-high 36 receiving yards during Sunday's 26-18 loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year receiver out of Ole Miss has garnered multiple targets in seven straight games, but he's posted a convincingly inefficient catch rate of 50 percent during that span (with fewer than 20 receiving YPG). His involvement has vamped up substantially of late, playing 36.8 offensive snaps per game over Cincinnati's past five contests, compared to 11.4 snaps per game between Week 5 and 10. In the regular season finale Sunday afternoon, Core will face a Steelers defense that's coming off a game in which the defense allowed 229 yards and one receiving touchdown to Saints wideouts.

Core will enter the starting lineup Sunday against the Browns, replacing the injured Tyler Boyd (knee), Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Already missing top wideout A.J. Green (foot) and top tight end Tyler Eifert (ankle) for many weeks now, the putrid Cincinnati passing attack will take an even greater hit with Boyd joining the wounded ranks. Core and John Ross will thus form the Bengals' starting receiver duo, though both represent shaky fantasy plays in Week 16 lineups. Expect the Bengals to lean heavily on lead running back Joe Mixon early and often unless the game script forces the team to enter catch-up mode and throw more frequently.
