Panthers placed CB Cletis Gordon (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season. Gordon was vying for a special teams and fourth corner job in camp. As long as the shoulder injury isn't serious, he could resurface with another team during the season.

Panthers signed CB Cletis Gordon, S De'Von Hall, and FB Richie Brockel to one-year contracts. They're all camp body types. Gordon is a big corner at 6-foot-1, 212, but almost strictly a special teamer. Brockel and Hall have played under Ron Rivera before, but none of the above will be likely to make the roster.
