Wood has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL during Sunday's game against the Titans, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wood's season-ending injury further depletes the Bills' banged-up backfield, as starting running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and rookie backup Karlos Williams (concussion) were already both inactive Sunday. With those absentees, Anthony Dixon and Dan Herron represent the only healthy tailbacks on Buffalo's current roster ahead of Sunday's Week 6 game against the Bengals.

Wood has been released by the Ravens, the Ravens' official website reports.
Wood never emerged as a candidate for a roster spot, and the recent injury to Bernard Pierce (head) wasn't enough to keep him on the team for a few more days. Wood did make the Texans' roster last season, but he was later released in October following an unspecified violation of team rules.

Ravens signed RB Cierre Wood to a reserve/future contract.
Wood was originally signed two weeks ago, but the deal was voided by the NFL because Wood hadn't been credited with a "credited year." Wood will fight for the Ravens' final running back spot in camp. An undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame, Wood averaged 5.5 yards on 35 preseason carries for the Texans last summer.

Updating an earlier item, the Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are still expected to sign free agent RB Cierre Wood.
Wood's reserve/future deal was voided by the NFL on Monday, but Wood will re-sign with updated contract language. According to reporter Aaron Wilson, Wood wasn't credited for a "credited year" in the initial deal. He should officially be a member of the Ravens within the next 24 hours. One of the league's most impressive undrafted runners last preseason, Wood has a fighting chance at cracking the 53-man roster.

The Ravens' reserve/future contract with RB Cierre Wood has been disapproved by the NFL, making Wood a free agent.
There must have been a holdup in the language of the deal, though no details are available. Wood was one of the most impressive rookie running backs in the 2013 preseason before getting caught allegedly smoking marijuana at the Texans' team hotel in October. He never played a regular season snap.

Ravens signed RB Cierre Wood to a reserve/future contract.
A "name" undrafted free agent this season, Wood was cut loose by the Texans in October after allegedly smoking marijuana in the team hotel the night before a road game. He spent the final two months of the year on the Patriots' practice squad. He'll compete for one of the Ravens' final roster spots in next summer's camp.

Patriots signed RB Cierre Wood to their practice squad.
Wood was waived by the Texans for reportedly smoking marijuana in a hotel room a few weeks back. But he disputes this claim, has passed a drug test and the Patriots are taking a chance on him. Despite going undrafted, Wood has the talent to be an NFL back. LeGarrette Blount is working on a one-year deal.
