Chris Houston (toe) returned to practice Wednesday. Houston, the Lions' top corner, missed the Monday night loss to the Ravens. He'll likely end up limited Wednesday, but appears to have a good shot at returning against the Giants. It's not great news for Hakeem Nicks and Rueben Randle.

Lions CB Chris Houston (foot) is listed as doubtful for Week 15 against the Ravens. Houston didn't practice at all this week and could be dealing with a setback to his foot injury. With Darius Slay (knee, doubtful) also sidelined, the Lions are down to just four healthy cornerbacks. Jonte Green will start opposite Rashean Mathis if Houston is held out, with Bill Bentley playing in nickel packages.

Lions CB Chris Houston (foot) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Houston sat out the Thanksgiving win over the Packers after hurting his foot against the Bucs in Week 12. He's going to test out the injury at practice this week before a determination is made. If Darius Slay has to start again, it's a boost for Nick Foles and the Eagles' red-hot passing game.

Lions CB Chris Houston (foot) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's Week 12 game against the Packers. Houston is Detroit's top corner. He's not going to play. Rookie Darius Slay, who has struggled and been benched numerous times this season, will fill in opposite Rashean Mathis. It's a positive development for Matt Flynn, who will be a middling QB2, and the entire Green Bay receiving corps.

Lions LCB Chris Houston is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 12 game with a hamstring injury. Houston got roasted on a 85-yard touchdown bomb to Tiquan Underwood, which is apparently when the injury happened. The Lions have turned to rookie Darius Slay as Rashean Mathis' cornerback bookend.

LCB Chris Houston was back in the starting lineup Week 8 and coach Jim Schwartz said he played "an outstanding game." Houston was benched at halftime during Week 7 for ineffectiveness. But he did well against Terrance Williams Sunday, as the rookie's 60-yard touchdown catch came against Darius Slay and Glover Quin. "At some point you have to show faith in your players," Schwartz said. "Chris bounced back with a big-time performance."

The Lions benched LCB Chris Houston in Sunday's Week 7 loss to Cincinnati. Houston got torched by A.J. Green, and the Lions' coaching staff became concerned with his confidence level. On Monday, coach Jim Schwartz wouldn't commit to reinserting Houston into the starting lineup. The Lions in Week 8 square off with a Dallas team boasting one of the NFL's top young receiver corps.

The Detroit Free Press considers Lions LCB Chris Houston's (hamstring) Week 5 status "up in the air." The Lions are "optimistic" Houston will play at Green Bay, although if he does he'll almost certainly be less than 100 percent. Houston returned to a "limited" practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday's workouts. Jordy Nelson is likely to square off with Houston for most of Sunday's snaps.

Lions LCB Chris Houston suffered a "leg" injury in Sunday's win. "He's got a leg injury," a vague Jim Schwartz said Monday. "I think I'll just keep it that way and we'll just see where he can get to this week and we'll try to get him back as quick as we can. But if he can't, then we'll have the next guy up." Schwartz's evasiveness is a definite sign Houston is in danger of missing Week 5. His absence would thrust struggling rookie Darius Slay back into the lineup opposite Rashean Mathis.
