Rogers (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. The Raiders had already ruled Rogers out for Sunday's game against St. Louis, and sensing a return was not imminent, they went a step further and ended his season. Rogers has missed the team's last four games with the knee issue and will turn 34 next summer, but some team may take a chance on him in the offseason on another one-year deal.

Rogers (knee) remains sidelined, the Raiders' official site reports. Rogers will miss his fifth game in a row Sunday against the Rams and with the Raiders 1-10, there no need for the team to rush the veteran CB back into their lineup.

Rogers (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Chiefs. Thursday's absence will be Rogers' fourth of the season, matching his total from his previous six seasons combined. With T.J. Carrie (ankle) also out, the Raiders will again have to rely heavily on Tarell Brown, Chimdi Chekwa and D.J. Hayden against Kansas City.

Rogers (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Rogers was unable to practice in any capacity during the week, so this was little more than a formality. It will be the third straight game Rogers has missed, but fortunately for the Raiders, it looks like Chimidi Chekwa (hamstring) and DJ Hayden (groin) will both be available.

Rogers (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The typically-durable Rogers -- last week's absence was his first since the 2010 season -- will be forced to sit again in Week 10 due to the knee injury. He was unable to log even a limited practice during the week, and with Chimidi Chekwa (hamstring) out as well, the Raiders figure to rely heavily on the likes of D.J. Hayden and Tarell Brown.

Rogers (knee) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against Seattle, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The Raiders listed Rogers as doubtful for the contest following Friday's practice, so the downgrade doesn't come as much of a surprise. The typically durable Rogers is set to miss his first regular season contest since the 2010 season.

Rogers (knee) is doubtful to play in Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Bill Williamson of ESPN reports. Rogers has missed practice all week and should not be expected to play. This is another drop in the bucket for the injury plagued Raiders, but Rogers missing the game is still surprising given that he hasn't missed a start since 2010.

Raiders signed CB Carlos Rogers, formerly of the 49ers. Rogers, 33 in July, was released by the 49ers three weeks ago. His visit to Oakland on Monday was his only one. Rogers can still play as a slot corner who can defend the run a bit and will fill that role for the Silver and Black. Tarell Brown and D.J. Hayden will serve as the outside corners. The Raiders are loading up on aging veterans in an attempt to compete in the tough AFC West in 2014.

The Raiders are hosting free agent CB Carlos Rogers on Monday. Turning 33 in July, Rogers fits the age profile for a Raiders team loading up on late-career veterans. Released by the 49ers on March 10, Rogers hadn't so much as earned a free agent visit before Oakland signed him. Rogers, in his prime, was a physical 6-foot press corner who could also cover the slot.

The Washington Post reports free agent CB Carlos Rogers could be a "possibility" for the Redskins. Washington is in the market for a slot corner with Josh Wilson a free agent. That's where Rogers excels at this point in his career. The 32-year-old started his career with the Redskins and shouldn't command more than a one-year deal.
