Bresee (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Falcons, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee hasn't returned to practice since sustaining a knee injury in the Week 16 win over the Jets, so it's no surprise he'll be sidelined Sunday. The third-year pro from Clemson had a relatively underwhelming 2025 campaign, recording 37 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks, three passes defensed and one forced fumble over 15 appearances. Expect Jonathan Bullard and John Ridgeway to have expanded roles on New Orleans' defensive line while Bresee and Nathan Shepherd (ankle) are sidelined in Week 18.

Bresee (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee didn't practice at all last week and sat out Sunday's win over Tennessee. With a DNP to begin Week 18 prep, his potential to return to action for New Orleans' season finale this coming Sunday in Atlanta is shaky, at best. Should Bresee need to sit out again, Jonathan Bullard and Nathan Shepherd (ankle) would be candidates for more defensive snaps.

Coach Kellen Moore said Monday that Bresee (knee) will not play in next Sunday's game against the Titans, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee was injured in Sunday's win over the Jets, and Moore said they'll reevaluate Bresee next week to see if he'll be able to play in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Falcons. Bresee has started all 15 games this season, recording a career-high 37 tackles (15 solo), including 2.5 sacks, three pass breakups and one forced fumble on 69 percent of the defensive snaps.

Bresee (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jets, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee will not return to Sunday's game due to a knee injury, so Jonathan Bullard and Nathan Shepherd should see more snaps at defensive end the rest of the way. Bresee is in jeopardy of missing the Saints' Week 17 road tilt against the Titans on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Bresee (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee went to the locker room in the second half to have his knee evaluated by medical staff. Nathan Shepherd and Jonathan Bullard should see more snaps at defense end for as long as Bresee is out of the game.

Bresee (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
A back injury limited Bresee's practice participation Thursday and Friday, but the third-year pro has been cleared to play Week 10 after going through pregame warmups. The 2023 first-rounder has accumulated 21 tackles (seven solo), including 1.5 sacks, three pass defenses and one forced fumble through nine regular-season games.

Bresee (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 2023 first-round pick from Clemson popped up on the Saints' injury report Thursday as a limited practice participant due to a back issue, putting his availability for Week 10 in jeopardy. Bresee has had an impressive start to New Orleans' 2025 campaign, recording 21 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks, and three passes defended over nine appearances. If he's unable to play Sunday, Nathan Shepherd is likely to start on the Saints' defensive line.

Bresee collected 25 tackles (17 solo), including 7.5 sacks, three pass breakups and a forced fumble across 17 regular-season appearances for the Saints in 2024.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee's overall production doesn't jump off the page, as he logged just one more tackle than he did during his rookie 2023 season. But, he led the team in sacks and played the most defensive snaps (667) of any defensive tackle for New Orleans. The highlight of his season came in the Week 14 win versus the Giants, when he blocked a 35-yard field-goal attempt that would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Bresee should come into the 2025 campaign as one of the leaders for New Orleans' defensive line and pass rush.

Breese logged 1.0 sacks and two pass defenses during Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee made the biggest play of the game Sunday when he jumped over the Giants' offensive line and blocked Graham Gano's 35-yard field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Saints. Bresee has logged 7.5 sacks through 13 regular-season games, 3.5 of which have come over his last three outings.

Bresee recorded 1.0 sacks during Sunday's 21-14 loss versus the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Bresee was able to put a notch in the sack column for the second game in a row in Week 13, getting to Matthew Stafford on a third down to force a Rams punt late in the third quarter. He enters Week 14 with the second most sacks in the league by a defensive tackle (6.5) behind only two-time Pro-Bowler Dexter Lawrence (9.0).
