Wright caught two of three targets for six yards during Thursday's 28-25 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Detroit is still not running much of its passing game through the tight ends in the wake of T.J. Hockenson's trade to Minnesota. Without much of an athletic profile to fall back on, Wright will be remain a zero-floor, low-upside fantasy option Week 13 against Jacksonville.

Wright caught two of two targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Wright again logged the vast majority of snaps at tight end while James Mitchell hovered around 20 percent. However, it still doesn't look like the Lions are wanting to involve him in the passing game like they did with T.J. Hockenson. Next up for Wright is a tough Week 12 matchup against Matt Milano and the Bills.

Wright caught his only target for a two-yard touchdown in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
The Lions' tight ends didn't get many looks from Jared Goff as a group, but Wright made his one target count by scoring his first TD of the season in the second quarter. The second-year player will continue to compete with rookie James Mitchell and Shane Zylstra for snaps and touches in Week 11 against the Giants.

Wright failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 15-9 win over the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
After rising to the top of the depth chart in the wake of T.J. Hockenson's trade to Minnesota, Wright was barely used in the passing game despite logging 81 percent of the offensive snaps. Meanwhile, rookie fifth-round pick James Mitchell caught both of his targets for eight yards and a touchdown while third-string Shane Zylstra caught his lone target for a one-yard touchdown. Wright could luck into his own scoring opportunities a couple of times as the rest of the season unfolds, but it seems that the Lions may be looking to replace Hockenson with a committee approach if this game was any indication.

Wright (concussion protocol) is listed as active Sunday versus the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Wright entered the protocol for head injuries following last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, but progressing from no activity to Wednesday to a full practice Friday signaled that the tight end was on the right track to play Week 9. Indeed, that has come to pass, and he now is poised to take on a portion of the snaps vacated by T.J. Hockenson following the latter's move to the Vikings ahead of the trade deadline. Wright, James Mitchell and Shane Zylstra are the Lions available at the position Sunday.

Wright (concussion protocol) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Packers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright increased his activity from none Wednesday to some Thursday before logging a full practice to end Week 9 prep. Still, he remains in the protocol for head injuries, likely only needing to meet with an independent neurologist in order to gain clearance to suit up. Whether or not that comes to pass remains to be seen, but if Wright is active Sunday, he'll team with rookie fifth-rounder James Mitchell at tight end for the Lions.

Wright (concussion protocol) was limited at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Wright entered the protocol for head injuries in the wake of a Week 8 loss to the Dolphins, but after sitting out Wednesday he made his first notable progress with some on-field activity one day later. Still, he must complete all five phases of the protocol to gain clearance to play, so continuing to work Friday (or even getting back to a full practice) would put him in a fair spot ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers. With T.J. Hockenson getting traded to the Vikings earlier this week, Wright, when active, likely will serve as the Lions' No. 1 tight end for the rest of the season.

Wright (concussion protocol) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Wright exited this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins late in the contest to be evaluated for a concussion, and the first practice report of Week 9 revealed that he's indeed in the NFL's protocol for head injuries. It's unclear if he actually has a concussion, but he nonetheless must clear the five steps necessary to be cleared for game action. Whether or not that happens before Sunday's contest against the Packers remains to be seen, but with T.J. Hockenson shipped off to Minnesota on Tuesday, Wright stands to benefit in terms of snaps and targets once he's available. In seven games this season, Wright has hauled in all six targets for 88 yards.

Wright (head) is expected to take on a more prominent role for the Lions over the rest of the season after Detroit traded top tight end T.J. Hockenson to Minnesota on Tuesday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Hockenson's departure, the Lions are left with Wright and James Mitchell as their sole options at tight end currently on the 53-man roster, though at least one of Garrett Griffin and Shane Zylstra are expected to be elevated from the practice squad to add depth to the position group ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers. Before he can take claim to Hockenson's vacated snaps, Wright must first clear the concussion protocol after he exited early in the Lions' Week 8 loss to the Dolphins to be evaluated for a head injury. Over his 17 career games, Wright has tallied 18 receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns on 23 targets.

Wight is being evaluated for a concussion and will not return Sunday against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Wright recorded one catch for six yards before having to exit the game. It's bad news for the 23-year-old, who is coming off a career-best effort last Sunday against the Cowboys. Rookie tight end James Mitchell will now potentially see extra opportunity behind T.J. Hockenson for the remainder of the game.
