Wright (ankle) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate.
EDGE Analysis
Wright managed a pair of limited sessions last week before entering the weekend as questionable, but he was active for Sunday's loss at Philadelphia, hauling in just two of seven targets for eight yards on an 83 percent snap share in the Lions' first game without Sam LaPorta (back, IR). Assuming Wednesday's restrictions are merely maintenance for the lingering ankle issue, Wright will continue to operate as the team's top tight end Sunday against the Giants.

Wright caught two of seven targets for eight yards in Sunday night's 16-9 loss to the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Wright stepped into the No. 1 role at tight end in Week 11 after Sam LaPorta (back) was placed on injured reserve, garnering a season-high seven targets from Jared Goff. Wright had seen just eight total targets over the team's last seven games combined, so although Goff couldn't connect with him often, the tight end appears to have absorbed a large chunk of the looks that LaPorta typically would've gotten. Wright will look to be more effective with his target share in Week 12 against the Giants.

Wright (ankle) is active for Sunday's game in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
In the first contest without No. 1 TE Sam LaPorta (back) after the Lions placed him on IR on Saturday, Wright will have a chance for an increased role in the offense along with Ross Dwelley for at least the next four outings. Coach Dan Campbell spoke of his trust in Wright on Friday, saying it's "sky high," per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site. Wright managed two limited practices (Thursday/Friday) during Week 11 prep, but it won't impact his availability Sunday. Through nine games this season, he's hauled in nine of 11 targets for 71 yards and two touchdowns.

Wright (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Philadelphia, while fellow Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (back) is ruled out.
EDGE Analysis
Lions coach Dan Campbell told reporters earlier Friday that his trust in Wright would be "sky high" if LaPorta couldn't play, per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site. LaPorta won't play, but Wright has an injury concern of his own, albeit one that doesn't appear serious. Wright missed practice Wednesday before returning for limited sessions Thursday and Friday. No. 3 TE Ross Dwelley will be the next man up if Wright is on the inactive list ahead of an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

Wright (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Wright upgraded to a limited participant Thursday after not practicing Wednesday. If Wright can manage to log another limited practice Friday, or upgrade to full participation, he may have a chance to suit up for Sunday's game against the Eagles. In the event he trends downward and is unable to play, Ross Dwelley could see increased playing time as the second tight end behind Sam Laporta.

Wright (ankle) didn't participate in Detroit's practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Wright played 27 snaps during the Week 11 win over the Commanders, so it's unclear when he sustained this injury. While his availability in Thursday and Friday's practice sessions will provide more clarity towards his status for Sunday's matchup versus the Eagles, if he ends up being unable to suit up, Ross Dwelley could see increased playing time.

Wright caught his only target for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was a background character in the passing game once again in Week 9, a role he has often found himself in throughout this season and career as a whole. Fellow tight end Sam LaPorta finished tied for the team lead with Amon-Ra St. Brown in receiving yards (97) and reeled in a touchdown on six catches. Wright has now caught nine of 10 targets for 71 yards and two touchdowns over eight games this season, but unless LaPorta is unavailable, Wright will have a rather low ceiling from a fantasy perspective.

Wright caught all three of his targets for 23 yards in Monday night's 24-9 win over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was able to match his season high in receptions, finishing tied for second on the team with Jahmyr Gibbs, Kalif Raymond, and fellow tight end Sam LaPorta. Wright has now reeled in eight of nine targets for 60 yards and two touchdowns over seven games this season while operating as the clear No. 2 behind LaPorta at tight end in Detroit's offense.

Wright caught two of three targets for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-24 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was able to find the end zone for the second time this season, reeling in a three-yard score on a pass from running back David Montgomery in the second quarter. The tight remained a distant No. 2 option at his position behind Sam LaPorta, who secured five receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown in the game. Wright had gone two consecutive games without a catch prior to Sunday, and he's now caught five of six targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns over five games this season.

Wright did not garner a target in Monday's 38-30 win over the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Wright played 38 of the team's 68 offensive snaps, but his impact came purely as a run blocker in the team's victory. With a healthy Sam LaPorta available, Wright doesn't have much upside as a receiving option for Detroit.
