The 2017 third-round pick didn't see game action during the 2019 regular season after he was cut by the Broncos out of training camp. Langley will add depth to the position, and with Malik Turner (concussion) and Jaron Brown (knee) dealing with injury, Langley could get a promotion to the 53-man roster should both be out for Sunday's playoff game against the Eagles.

The video showcases Langley's athleticism and hands, two qualities that were never really in doubt. Langley, who played some receiver at Georgia before transitioning to cornerback fulltime at Lamar, instead seemed to struggle with putting that athleticism and ball-skills to good use on the field. Perhaps a move to receiver will reignite his career, but it is fair to say that this probably wasn't what Denver was hoping for when they drafted him at the end of the third round two years ago. With the likes of Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick and DaeSean Hamilton ahead of him -- it'll be hard for Langley to join the nucleus of young Broncos targets even if Emmanuel Sanders struggles to return from his Achilles injury.

He was selected at No. 101 overall in the 2017 draft primarily on the basis of raw athleticism, as he lit up the combine with a 4.43 40, 123-inch broad jump and 35.5-inch vertical at 6-feet, 201 pounds. The 24-year-old has the appropriate physical specs to play wide receiver, but he'll nonetheless face a difficult transition, presumably battling for one of the final spots on Denver's 53-man roster. Langley has played 260 snaps on special teams and just 108 on defense in 16 NFL appearances.

Langley was a full participant in Thursday's practice, and appears to have fully recovered from the head injury that caused him to sit out Monday's loss to the Raiders. Barring any setbacks, the 24-year-old is on track to suit up versus the Chargers in Week 17.

It was somewhat of a surprise when the Broncos took Langley at the end of the third round out of Lamar in last year's draft. Head coach Vance Joseph, a defensive backs coach by trade, was drawn to his size and speed and ball skills from his time as a wide receiver at Georgia. He didn't get many looks as a rookie and, even with improvements, is unlikely to see the field much beyond special teams in 2018. Veteran Tramaine Brock figures to be the team's third corner behind Chris Harris and Bradley Roby and the defense has often featured a third safety -- likely Will Parks -- in dime situations. Short of beating out Brock, Langley will probably continue to develop behind the scenes with this year's third-round pick, Isaac Yiadom.
