Hall turned seven carries into 26 yards and didn't haul in his only target during Saturday's 31-12 preseason loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Hall and Braelon Allen split the backfield work during the Jets' first two possessions of preseason Week 2, with the latter also earning seven carries (for 34 yards) on the evening. The operation under new head coach Aaron Glenn figures to be ground-based, considering the mobile Justin Fields will be directing the offense this season, but Hall appears as if he'll be ceding some carries to Allen on a weekly basis. Hall is coming off a third pro campaign in 2024 in which he notched 1,359 yards from scrimmage and eight total TDs on 266 touches across 16 regular-season games.

Hall rushed three times for nine yards and wasn't targeted during the Jets' 30-10 preseason win over the Packers on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-year pro had a chance to share a backfield with new quarterback Justin Fields for the first time in a game setting, and Hall took a pair of handoffs from the latter on the Jets' first two plays from scrimmage. Hall would net five yards on those carries and log one more touch on a first down in the red zone during the same possession, but Braelon Allen also saw action during the drive. Hall's night was done after that third rush attempt, but he could be due for more work in New York's second preseason contest next Saturday night against the Giants.

Hall (undisclosed) returned to Tuesday's practice a few minutes after leaving the field to talk with trainers, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
EDGE Analysis
He apparently avoided a significant injury and will jump back in with the first-team offense ahead of Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. There's been chatter this summer about Allen in particular taking more work away from Hall, but we may have to wait until Week 1 to have a good idea about how that plays out.

Hall left Tuesday's practice early with a trainer, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hall walked off the practice field Tuesday morning, leaving Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis to handle first-team backfield reps. There's been some chatter this summer about the new coaching staff dividing RB work more evenly, with Allen in particular said to be making a good impression, but Hall still figures to be the starter and lead runner heading into Week 1, assuming the injury Tuesday morning is nothing serious.

Hall said at mandatory minicamp Wednesday he's motivated "to go prove that I am 'The Guy'" to a new regime led by new head coach Aaron Glenn, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Glenn talked up using all of Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis "as much as possible" earlier this offseason, but Hall is committed to securing another workhorse role for 2025. "We have a great running back room," Hall said, "but my mentality is every day I'm going to prove that I am the best back on this roster and one of the best backs in the league." He also revealed that despite suiting up for 16 regular-season games in 2024, the knee injury he dealt with was more serious than previously disclosed. "If I could go back, I probably would have taken more time off," the 24-year-old said. If Hall's production dip in 2024 can indeed be explained away by injury and the Jets' overall struggles on offense, his three-down ability and talent level will put him in solid position to bounce back to elite levels in 2025. Glenn and new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand are both acquainted with Detroit's run-heavy, two-back approach, but in New York it's possible QB Justin Fields could mix in alongside Hall more than other tailbacks.

New Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Hall is one of three running backs that the team wants to "utilize as much as possible," Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The other two presumably are 2024 fourth-round pick Braelon Allen and 2024 fifth-round pick Isaiah Davis, both of whom had some nice moments as rookies while spelling Hall off the bench during his disappointing season. It won't come as any surprise if the uber-talented Hall improves in 2025 and re-establishes himself as a workhorse back under a new coaching staff, but it's nonetheless interesting to see the contrast between Glenn's comment on Hall and what he said when reporters asked about WR Garrett Wilson. Glenn referred to Wilson as a "dynamic player" and said the Jets will try to get him the ball "as much as possible."

Hall rushed 12 times for 57 yards while catching three of five targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
EDGE Analysis
Hall caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to cap the scoring with 2:30 remaining in the fourth quarter. That was the 503rd -- and possibly, final -- touchdown pass of Rodgers' NFL career. Hall finishes the 2024 season with 876 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 209 carries, along with 57 catches for 483 receiving yards and three receiving scores on 74 targets. He's likely to return as the lead back for the Jets in 2025, ahead of 2024 draft picks Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.

Hall rushed 10 times for 45 yards and caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Hall had an 18-yard run wiped out by a penalty in the first quarter, which was one yard longer than his longest official run of the afternoon. He was finding some decent running room early, but the Jets largely abandoned the run after falling into a significant hole. Isaiah Davis and Braelon Allen combined for nine carries, and the Jets will likely keep both rookies involved in the offense against the Dolphins in Week 18 against the Dolphins, lowering Hall's ceiling.

Hall rushed 14 times for 52 yards and caught five of six targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Hall wasn't particularly efficient, but he showed that he's over the knee injury that has been bothering him in recent weeks, as Hall's 19 touches marked his highest total since he tied his season high with 23 in Week 11. That robust workload helped Hall reach 90 scrimmage yards for the sixth time in 14 appearances this season. Hall was stuffed on fourth-and-1 in Jets territory for a turnover on downs in the second quarter and didn't get any goal-line opportunities. He'll likely continue to work as the clear lead back over Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis in Week 17 against Buffalo.

Hall (knee) rushed nine times for 30 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Hall wasn't efficient in his return after a one-game absence due to a knee injury, and he ceded a combined seven carries to Isaiah Davis and Braelon Allen, the latter of whom exited due to a back injury. The lead back salvaged his fantasy stat line with a one-yard rushing touchdown, which broke a 25-25 tie with 1:05 left in the fourth quarter. If Hall avoids any setbacks in practice, he'll likely get a larger workload in Week 16 against the Rams.
