Smith rushed the ball 12 times for 56 yards in Sunday's 14-12 loss to the Raiders. He added two receptions on four targets for two yards.
EDGE Analysis
Smith got the chance to serve as the lead back for the Chiefs with Isiah Pacheco (rest) sidelined. Smith led the team with 12 rushing attempts -- his highest mark since Week 7 -- and delivered solid chunk gains of 14, 10 and nine yards. He was not utilized much in his rookie season, but Smith's potential role in 2026 will be worth monitoring, as Kansas City is likely to remake its running back depth chart.

Smith had zero carries and reeled in three of his four targets for five yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 20-13 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has seen a slight uptick in his snap share over the last couple of weeks, and it wouldn't be shocking if that's the case again in the season finale in Week 18 with Kansas City eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2014. The rookie back hasn't proved a ton as a runner, averaging just under 3.0 yards per carry, but he's been a solid contributor as a receiver out of the backfield, hauling in 23 of his 31 targets for 170 yards and a touchdown in his inaugural NFL campaign. He'll have one more opportunity to add to that total before his rookie season expires.

Smith caught his lone target for four yards in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Smith failed to record a single carry in the contest while the Chiefs' offense attempted just 15 rushes against the Titans. The rookie played just eight of Kansas City's 45 offensive snaps Sunday and failed to play double-digit snaps for the 10th time this season. With such limited usage, Smith remains far off the fantasy radar as the Chiefs get set to host the Broncos in Week 17.

Smith compiled two rushes for one yard during Sunday's 16-13 defeat to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Smith once again played third wheel to Kareem Hunt (30 snaps) and Isiah Pacheco (28 snaps) in the backfield, logging just four snaps in a game that saw the Chiefs both get eliminated from playoff contention and lose star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL. With little left to play for the rest of the way, it's not impossible Smith could see a few more touches down the stretch if the coaching staff wants to see what it has in its 2025 seventh-round selection, but Hunt and Pacheco should continue to lead the way.

Smith recorded one rush for seven yards during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
While the final score was a 10-point Chiefs loss, the contest remained close enough throughout that KC didn't need to abandon the run until the very end. Thus, Smith saw limited usage, notching just five offensive snaps in the contest. While he continues to be featured a bit as a kick returner, Smith has just one offensive touch to his name over the last two weeks, and there's little to suggest that will change as long as Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt stay healthy.

Smith returned one kickoff for 33 yards during the Chiefs' 31-28 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith played just five snaps and didn't see a touch on offense following Isiah Pacheco's return from a three-game absence due to a knee injury. Smith figures to see seldom use on offense in games for which Pacheco and Kareem Hunt are both active, though Smith should continue to see work on kickoffs as a returner.

Smith tallied one rush for five yards and hauled in three of four targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 23-20 overtime win against the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Smith remains a pass-catching option out of the backfield, akin to Jerrick McKinnon in previous seasons, but he doesn't quite sport the same kind of upside just yet. Smith has made an impact as a receiver through 11 games, notching 19 grabs for 161 yards. However, he's averaged just 3.0 yards per carry on his 29 totes and firmly remains third in the backfield pecking order behind Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. As long as that duo remains healthy, Smith figures to remain a periphery piece for the Chiefs.

Smith caught two of three targets for eight yards and failed to record a single rushing attempt in Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Smith continued his role as the de facto No. 2 running back in Week 11 with Isiah Pacheco (knee) sidelined, but he was not a major part of the Chiefs' offensive plans in the contest. The rookie played 12 of Kansas City's 70 offensive snaps, while teammate Kareem Hunt dominated the backfield snap share with 56 snaps. Week 11 marked just the third time this season that Smith did not handle a single carry. Despite the Chiefs praising the SMU product for his playmaking ability earlier in the season, the team has not seemed committed to using him more in Pacheco's absence. Smith remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes, even if Pacheco remains sidelined for a Week 12 matchup against the Colts.

Smith rushed three times for seven yards and was not targeted as a receiver in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Smith failed to capitalize on the absence of Isiah Pacheco (knee), finishing the primetime loss with just three total touches. Kareem Hunt (11-49-1) finished as Kansas City's only fantasy-relevant back Sunday. With a bye week upcoming, Smith could find himself back in the No. 3 spot on the depth chart if Pacheco is ready to return for a Nov. 16 matchup against the Broncos.

Smith is poised for more work Sunday at Buffalo with Isiah Pacheco (knee) ruled out for that contest, Pete Sweeney of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco wasn't able to practice this week due to the right MCL sprain that he sustained during Monday's win against the Commanders. Kareem Hunt is the obvious player to help fill the void in Pacheco's absence, but Smith also should benefit in what has been mostly a two-pronged Chiefs backfield this season. While Smith hasn't been very productive on the ground through the first eight games of his career (25 carries for 75 yards), the rookie seventh-round pick has hauled in 14 of 18 targets for 122 yards. He's also still in search of his first TD as a pro.
