Brandon Gibson believes he can succeed in the slot. The slot is where Gibson has been lining up in OTAs. "I can run any route," Gibson claimed. "I can separate. (And) I can get open." We don't doubt Gibson has an extensive route tree - most fifth-year receivers do - but the latter two claims are more dubious. Gibson often had trouble separating in St. Louis, and was prone to drops and mental mistakes when he did. Gibson's 2012 line of 51/691/5 2012 should go down as the high-water mark of his career.

Brandon Gibson has been lining up in the slot in Dolphins OTAs. Gibson was primarily an outside receiver in St. Louis, but the Dolphins are set outside the hashes with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Gibson is neither particularly elusive nor sure-handed, but is competent at moving the chains. He could prove to be a slight improvement over Davone Bess.

Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Brandon Gibson, formerly of the Rams. The Jets' top free-agent target is taking his talents to South Beach. Gibson is the latest mid-level talent to join GM Jeff Ireland's burgeoning "Dream Team," and should be slotted into his ideal role of No. 3 receiver with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline already in the fold. Gibson can move the chains and is a threat in the red zone, but offers nothing after the catch and is prone to mental mistakes. His 108 yards after the catch were an absurd 167th in the NFL last season. With just one 100-yard game in 54 career contests, Gibson won't be a major threat for fantasy value as the fourth option in Miami's passing attack.

Free agent Brandon Gibson is visiting the Dolphins on Friday, and will head to Tennessee if he leaves town without a contract. The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero believes Gibson is in the Dolphins' plans at the "right price." The Dolphins have yet to meet a free agent they didn't like. The Jets still have the biggest need for Gibson, and may up their offer if they find Gibson on the verge of signing with Miami or Tennessee.

Free agent Brandon Gibson plans to visit the Titans on Friday. Gibson has a long way to go until then. He's still in New York with the Jets, and that visit will conclude Thursday morning. Gibson will then go to Miami to talk with the Dolphins before finally arriving in Nashville. We're not positive that he even makes it out of New York.

Free agent Brandon Gibson is "still talking" to the Jets, and it's "unclear" if he'll make his scheduled Thursday visit to the Dolphins. Gibson left New York without a contract, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Perhaps Wes Welker's surprisingly affordable deal made it clear to Gibson how limited his market truly is. Gang Green is the favorite for his services.

The New York Daily News reports free agent Brandon Gibson is expected to "continue his free agent tour" after meeting with the Jets. Per ace beat writer Manish Mehta, the Jets' offer "may not be good enough right now." It continues Gang Green's rough early start to free agency, but it's quite possible Gibson is overestimating his value. We wouldn't rule out an eventual deal with the Jets.

Free agent Brandon Gibson will visit the Jets on Wednesday. The Jets have identified their top target, and it's a No. 3 receiver. Gang Green appears to be the only team seriously pursuing Gibson at the moment, but his pre-FA buzz suggests that will change soon.
