Dixon (heel/hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Dixon has been on the active roster for less than three weeks, but he's logged 60-plus defensive snaps in each of his last two games, posting eight tackles, four pass breakups and one forced fumble. Therefore, he's an off-the-radar IDP option that could be valuable Sunday if he's deemed healthy.

The Giants promoted Dixon from their practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Dixon has been on the Giants' practice squad since mid-October, but with Eli Apple still away from the team and Janoris Jenkins potentially needing season-ending ankle injury, the defensive back will be brought up to add some depth to the secondary. Dixon last played in the regular season in 2014 with Tampa Bay, logging eight tackles and an interception in 14 games.

The Buccaneers activated Dixon to the 53-man roster Saturday, Jason La Confora of CBSSports.com reports. Dixon was signed to the Buccaneers practice squad after failing to make an impact with the Jets to start his career. The former sixth round pick will mostly provide depth at corner in Tampa Bay.

Jets signed sixth-round CB Brandon Dixon to a four-year contract. Dixon (5-foot-11 1/2, 203) has the size coach Rex Ryan covets in corners for his press-man scheme. The Northwest Missouri State is unlikely to contribute much past special teams in year one, but he has some developmental upside.
