The Titans cut McDougald on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald started Sunday's game against the Seahawks and played 40 of the team's 54 defensive snaps. The 10-year veteran appeared in seven games with the Jets last season before injuring his shoulder. He should garner some interest from teams in search of depth in their secondary.

McDougald was released by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald joined the Titans in mid-August and made the team's initial 53-man roster, but he was let go ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Cardinals. However, he'll stick around the organization after signing with the practice squad.

McDougald and the Titans came to terms on a contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald spent his first four seasons in Tampa Bay before stints with the Seahawks and Jets over the last four years. His season was cut short in 2020 after shoulder surgery. He will now look to add a veteran presence to the Titans' defensive backfield. Look for him to compete with the likes of Tedric Thompson and Brady Breeze (ankle) for a depth strong safety role

McDougald is recovering from shoulder surgery and appears unlikely to return this year, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald was eligible to start practicing last week after spending three weeks on IR. However, the 30-year-old safety is still recovering from last month's surgery and is in danger of missing the rest of the season. The nature of McDougald's injury is still unclear. Rookie third-round pick Ashtyn Davis will start at free safety for the time being. McDougald's set to be an unrestricted free agent in March.

The Jets placed McDougald (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald sat out practice all week and was already ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs. He'll be required to miss three weeks, but because the Jets are on bye Week 10, McDougald can return to the lineup after missing just two games. Rookie Ashtyn Davis is expected to bump into a starting safety role alongside Marcus Maye until McDougald can return.

McDougald (shoulder) is ruled out for Sunday's game in Kansas City, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald's shoulder injury will force him to miss his first game of the 2020 campaign. Rookie third-round pick Ashtyn Davis will be the favorite to start across from Marcus Maye against the Chiefs, and for as long as McDougald remains sidelined.

McDougald (shoulder) will not practice Thursday, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald will miss his second straight practice due to a shoulder injury. Unless the starting safety is able to upgrade to at least limited participation Friday, it looks like he'll be in legitimate danger of missing Sunday's game in Kansas City.

McDougald (ribs) wasn't listed on Monday's injury report, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald still managed to play nearly every snap in Sunday's game against the Colts despite leaving with a rib injury. He should be at full speed Thursday night against the Broncos after recording 10 tackles against the Colts.

McDougald suffered a ribs injury during Sunday's 36-7 loss to the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald was listed as probable to return after initially leaving the field in the fourth quarter, so it looks as though he should have a fair shot at suiting up versus Denver on Thursday. Given that the Jets were down by nearly 30 points at the time of McDougald's injury, the team may simply have opted to preserve him on the sideline.

McDougald and several draft picks were traded from the Seahawks to the Jets on Saturday in exchange for Jamal Adams and a fourth-round draft pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougald had a solid season with the Seahawks in 2019 as he was effective against the run and in coverage and finished with 70 tackles, 0.5 sacks and two interceptions across 15 regular-season contests. He'll now head to New York as part of Saturday's blockbuster trade, where he should have a starting role on the Jets' defense.
