Retired TE Ben Utecht claims his memory is fading away after suffering multiple concussions. Utecht suffered at least five documented concussions over the course of his playing career and was forced to retire in 2009 after a string of brain injuries during that summer's training camp. He revealed he spent eight months in rehab battling dizziness, amnesia, sleeplessness, and night sweats. Utecht realized his memory was fading when he failed to remember attending a friend's wedding in which he was actually a groomsman after his retirement. Utecht is 32.

Retired TE Ben Utecht won a $925,000 grievance against the Bengals when an arbitrator ruled a team doctor shouldn't have cleared Utecht to play following a severe training-camp concussion. Utecht received the balance of his 2009 base salary. At the time, the Bengals released Utecht with an "injury settlement" just over one year into a three-year, $9 million contract. Utecht is now a singer-songwriter at age 32. He claims he's experiencing memory loss due to concussions.
