Brown was waived by the Seahawks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown signed with the Seahawks in March, and participated in the team's offseason program. He was waived to make room for Mike Morgan, who has previously played with the club. The 27-year-old spent the first three seasons of his career with the Ravens before bouncing around between the Jaguars, Jets, and Seahawks all within the last year. He will presumably clear waivers and look for a new landing spot.

Brown signed a contract with the Seahawks on Friday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Seahawks entered the offseason in need of depth at linebacker and they have found just that in Brown. While the former second-rounder has struggled staying healthy the past two seasons, he'll be able to provide Seattle with an instant boost on special teams and serve as a solid insurance policy for MLB Bobby Wagner.

Brown was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown's three-year tenure with the Ravens ended abruptly Saturday, but he has found a new home with Jacksonville. Despite the fact that he has never started an NFL game, Brown appeared in all 16 games for Baltimore last season.

Brown was cut by the Ravens on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 2013 second-round draft pick had been battling Zachary Orr for the starting job at middle linebacker, but after losing out on that gig, he was likely deemed expendable due to his lack of special teams prowess. He'll try to latch on elsewhere for a team in need of a run-stuffing middle linebacker.

Brown is expected to competed with Zachary Orr for the starting job vacated by Daryl Smith, The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
A 2013 second-round selection, Brown has mostly worked on special teams thus far, recording just 17 tackles in 30 career games, with 15 of those tackles coming in his rookie year. Zachary Orr, a 2014 undrafted free agent, mostly worked ahead of Brown throughout the offseason program, after serving as the top backup to C.J. Mosley and Daryl Smith last year. Orr is the clear favorite to start Week 1, but Brown still has time to make a push during training camp.

Brown (thigh) is on the roster bubble, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
A second-round pick in 2013, Brown has yet to start a game through two seasons, and that probably won't change in 2015, even if he does make the roster. C.J. Mosley and Daryl Smith both played nearly every snap in 2014, forming arguably the league's most effective inside-linebacker duo in a 3-4 defense. A change of scenery would probably be best, but the Ravens haven't done anything to indicate that they view Brown as a starting-caliber player. At this point, he's unlikely to draw much trade interest.

The Ravens have placed Brown (thigh) on IR, the team's official site reports.
The move frees up a roster slot for the Ravens activation of defensive tackle Haloti Ngata in advance of Saturday's wild-card game against the Steelers. Brown -- a 2013 second-rounder -- did not record a tackle in four games for the Ravens this season.

Brown was told Tuesday that other teams have inquired about trading for him, the Ravens' official website reports.
Brown was rumored to be on the trading block, and the Ravens told him that while they aren't actively seeking out a trade, they will listen to offers. It only makes sense, as Brown was a second-round draft pick last April, and then showed decently in limited playing time as a rookie. He was expected to step in as a starter this season, until the Ravens selected C.J. Mosley in the first round of May's draft. Brown was inactive for the team's Week 1 game, but that may have just been a special teams decision. The Ravens have spoken highly of him all along, though the team of course has nothing to gain by doing otherwise. To have any shot of emerging as an IDP option this season, Brown either needs a trade, or for Daryl Smith or Mosley to get hurt.

Brown is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Despite an uninspiring rookie season, Brown was given the chance in training camp to compete for a starting job at middle linebacker against first-round draft pick C.J. Mosley, but ended up losing in the job battle. That Brown lost to Mosley isn't particularly shocking, but what's more concerning is that he now appears to be behind Albert McClellan for the top reserve spot at middle linebacker. Brown may need to impress in future practices if he hopes to be active on future gamedays.
