The Bills waived Rogers (Achilles) with a non-football injury designation Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers suffered a torn Achilles tendon while training early March, resulting in his now being waived for Buffalo to clear up roster space ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. The reserve tight end's road to recovery could be made more difficult by the fact that he previously suffered a torn Achilles in May of 2023.

Rogers tore his Achilles tendon while training Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old inked a reserve/future contract with the Bills in January, but it now appears he won't have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in 2025. Rogers' only in-game NFL experience came in 2022 with the Commanders, when he appeared in 11 regular-season games and caught five of his six targets for 64 yards. With Rogers out for the foreseeable future, the Bills' tight end room currently consists of Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid and Zach Davidson.

The Bills signed Rogers to a reserve/future contract Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers, who played quarterback in college before converting to a tight end upon going pro, originally signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was a bit of a Cinderella story that season, opening the campaign on the Commanders' roster and catching five passes on six targets for 64 yards while rushing twice for 26 yards over 11 games. However, Rogers tore his Achilles in May of 2023 and hasn't played in an NFL game since, though he spent much of the 2024 campaign on Atlanta's practice squad. Rogers isn't eligible to play for Buffalo during the remainder of the postseason, but he'll be able to compete for a roster spot during training camp this summer.

The Falcons signed Rogers to their practice squad Monday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers failed to make the Eagles' initial 53-man roster in late August, but it now appears he's found a home in Atlanta. The Ohio product most recently appeared in an NFL game with the Commanders in 2022, catching five of his six targets for 64 yards across 11 contests. Rogers could be elevated to Atlanta's active roster if the team's tight-end room faces injuries at any point this season.

EDGE Analysis
Rogers joined the Eagles on Aug. 7 after being let go by the Commanders, catching two passes for 24 yards during the preseason. If the tight end clears waivers, he'll have a shot to return to Philadelphia's practice squad ahead of the 2024 campaign.

The Eagles claimed Rogers off waivers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers, who missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn Achilles tendon, was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday and now finds a new home in Philadelphia. He faces long odds to make the Eagles' active roster, but an impressive showing in training camp could allow Rogers to earn a spot on the practice squad.

Rogers missed all of 2023 due to a torn Achilles' tendon. Despite returning for OTAs and training camp, he will now be on the lookout for a new team in need of depth at tight end should he clear waivers. In his lone season of NFL action in 2022, Rogers played in 11 regular-season games for the Commanders, finishing with five catches on six targets for 64 yards.

Rogers missed all of Washington's 2023 campaign due to a torn Achilles tendon, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. The 26-year-old appeared in 11 games in 2022, catching five of his six targets for 64 yards while playing 375 total snaps (158 on offense). Rogers, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in May, is expected back for offseason workouts, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers spent the entirety of what was to be his second NFL season on IR with the injury. According to Fortier, the Ohio product is about 80 percent recovered and doing linear running, with the next step being to make cuts and continue to get into football shape.

Rogers (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve by the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of Washington's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers suffered a torn Achilles in May and he will now spend the entirety of the 2023 campaign on the sidelines. The 25-year-old was set to compete for depth spot behind Logan Thomas at tight end this season, but the likes of John Bates, Cole Turner and Curtis Hodges will now vie for the top reserve spot.
