ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent DE Antwan Odom is continuing to prepare for a return to the NFL. Odom has been out of the league nearly two entire seasons, but has been training for a comeback all offseason. Slapped with a four-game PED suspension in 2010, Odom was arrested for possession of marijuana in December, and was recovering from wrist surgery as recently as April. Two months shy of his 31st birthday, Odom will be a pure flier if he manages to land a contract.

The Broncos and Ravens are reportedly monitoring free agent DE Antwan Odom to see if he can help their teams later this summer. Out of the league since early in the 2010 season, Odom just began lifting weights several weeks ago in large part due to complications from wrist surgery. "He will be ready to go in July," Odom's agent said. "He's starting to get into the full mode now." Now 30, Odom hasn't recorded a sack in over two and a half years.

Free agent DE Antwan Odom (wrist) is reportedly about a month away from a return. Odom has been out of the league since Week 4 of the 2010 due to wrist, Achilles and off-field issues. But back in 2009, he did pile up eight sacks in the first six games of the season. The Falcons and Titans are monitoring his progress, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora.

Free agent DE Antwan Odom was shot in the leg early Monday, according to WKRG's Jessica Taloney. The shooting reportedly happened around 4:30 a.m. in Irvington, Alabama, near Odom's hometown of Mobile. Odom's injuries are not considered life-threatening. The ex-Bengal was released three weeks ago as he struggled to return to form after a 2009 Achilles' tendon tear.

Bengals released DE Antwan Odom. Chalk another one up to injuries. After piling up eight sacks in the first six games of 2009, Odom blew out his Achilles. He tried to return last season, but managed just four ineffective games before getting suspended for violating the substance-abuse policy and injuring his wrist. Odom will be 30 in September and can't be counted on as a starting-caliber player.
