Williams had 12 carries for 22 yards and a touchdown, adding one reception for 24 yards, in Monday's 40-24 loss to the Colts.
Williams turned a third-quarter screen pass into a 24-yard gain, then plowed in from one yard on the next play, but that's about where the positives end. The Giants' offensive line was overwhelmed, and with the team playing from behind for much of the game, passing-down specialist Peyton Hillis had five receptions and four carries. Furthermore, Williams lost a bad fumble that the Giants were lucky to recover, and starting left guard Weston Richburg suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury. As if all that weren't enough for a flailing running game, the Giants face the Seahawks and the 49ers the next two weeks. Even if Rashad Jennings (knee) misses one or both games, Williams probably won't do much. The Giants may just decide to go pass-heavy early on, as the passing game has at least shown flashes in recent weeks.

With Rashad Jennings not looking likely to play Monday night, Williams should get another start against the Colts.
Should Jennings miss the game, Jennings would likely cede a good deal of the passing-down work to Peyton Hillis.

Williams had 18 carries for 51 yards in Sunday's loss at Dallas. He did not catch a pass, although he was targeted three times.
As expected, Williams didn't have any impact in the passing game, though neither did Peyton Hillis, who had just one catch on three targets for four yards. In terms of rushing workload, Williams had 12 more carries and 22 yards than Hillis, although the veteran was more effective on a per-play basis. Starter Rashad Jennings (knee) is tentatively scheduled to be back after the Giants' Week 8 bye, so if that holds true, Williams will likely return to a change-of-pace role against Indianapolis in Week 9.

Williams evenly split snaps with Peyton Hillis Sunday.
Williams saw 16 carries to Hillis' two, but Hillis is the better blocker, so he could continue to cut into Williams' workload. Moreover, having Williams on the field is almost tantamount to announcing a running play, something that could make the going harder for Williams.

Williams carried 16 times for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-0 loss to the Eagles.
Williams dominated the carries, besting Peyton Hillis by a score of 16-5, or 15-3 if you throw out the meaningless final quarter. However, Hillis served as the third-down back, and also got the team's only carry from inside the Philadelphia 10-yard line. Williams did show impressive power and determination, even if his role in the game was perhaps a bit disappointing for owners. If Rashad Jennings (knee) isn't ready for next week's game in Dallas, Williams and Hillis will likely have roles similar to Sunday's.

With Rashad Jennings likely to miss the Giants Week 6 game at Philadelphia, Williams should be in line to start.
It's possible Jennings misses a few games, and Williams' power running style has translated to the NFL so far. Williams also caught two passes on Sunday, though that's a weaker part of his game, so Peyton Hillis could spell him on third downs.

Williams had 20 carries for 65 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well two catches on two targets for 18 receiving yards Sunday against the Falcons.
Williams saw an increase in work after Rashad Jennings was forced from the game in the third quarter with a knee injury, and the former was able to score his second touchdown in as many weeks. Jennings downplayed the injury after the game, though he is schedule for an MRI on Monday. If Jennings is forced to miss any time, Williams should move into the starting role in Week 6 against an Eagles defense that is giving up the seventh-most rushing yards per game this season after giving up 125 and a touchdown to the Rams in Week 5.

Williams had 15 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 45-14 win over the Redskins.
With the Giants up big just four days after Rashad Jennings got 34 carries, Williams handled the role of second-half clock killer. The rookie looked good in limited action, but Jennings remains the clear-cut top running back. With 10 days to rest before a friendly matchup with the Falcons, Jennings figures to lead the team in carries next week, while Williams will likely just spell the veteran.

Williams had six carries for 18 yards Sunday.
Meanwhile starter Rashad Jennings had 34, and Williams got most of his work once the game was out of hand. At this point, Williams is strictly a backup, and he'd likely be in a timeshare even if Jennings got hurt.

Williams had five carries for nine yards and no receptions on one target in Monday's 35-14 loss to the Lions.
According to Nathan Janke of Pro Football Focus, Williams logged 20 snaps, compared to 42 for Rashad Jennings. While the rookie's snap count was in line with expectations, fantasy owners that don't also own Jennings have to be disappointed that Jennings got the goal-line carries.
