Andre Johnson skipped last week's voluntary workouts because he was reportedly occupied with other business.
It was a little odd that Johnson didn't show because he rarely misses this workouts and new coach Bill O'Brien is installing his new scheme. But sources tell the Houston Chronicle that no message was being sent. The bigger concern for O'Brien and Johnson is the quarterback depth chart, which currently reads 1)Ryan Fitzpatrick, 2)Tom Savage, 3)Case Keenum.

Andre Johnson did not show up for the first day of voluntary minicamp Tuesday.
It's only notable because Johnson rarely misses workouts and the Texans are installing a new scheme under first-year head coach Bill O'Brien. Regardless, the team doesn't seem concerned. "(Participation) is voluntary. We just coach who shows up," O'Brien said.

Andre Johnson said he's not thinking about retiring anytime soon.
Johnson will turn 33 years old in July, but continues to play at an elite level. Despite suffering through poor quarterback play last season, he ranked third in catches (109), seventh in yards (1407), sixth in catches of 20+ yards (20) and second in catches for a first down (69). "Everybody knows that day when it's over," he said. "When that day comes, I'll have no problem stepping away. But right now I feel fine. I feel like I still have a few more years left in me." Johnson is under contract through the 2016 season.

Andre Johnson caught six passes for 49 yards in Week 17 against the Titans.
Johnson was targeted a team-high nine times and was stopped at the two-yard line on one catch. He appeared in all 16 games for the second season in a row and posted his seventh 1,000-yard receiving season. Johnson finishes with 109 catches for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns. He's never produced many touchdowns with Matt Schaub under center. Johnson will have a new quarterback throwing to him in 2014. It will likely be a rookie via the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Johnson will turn 33 years old in the summer but has shown no signs of slowing down. He remains a WR1 for fantasy purposes.

Andre Johnson has tied the NFL record with five 100-catch seasons.
Wes Welker is the only other player to achieve the feat. Johnson has managed to post 103 catches this season despite bottom-barrel quarterback play out of Matt Schaub and Case Keenum. He's gotten to the 100-catch milestone in each of the last five years he's played in every game. Johnson will turn 33 years old in July, but he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Andre Johnson returned to Texans practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
Wednesday was just a rest day for the veteran wideout. Even with Matt Schaub back under center, Johnson is a WR1 for the fantasy Super Bowl.

Andre Johnson (wrist) did not practice Wednesday.
We didn't notice Johnson suffer any injuries last week against the Colts, and none of the Texans' beat writers have expressed any concern regarding his Week 16 status. Johnson will be a low-end WR1 this week versus Denver.

Andre Johnson caught four passes for 18 yards in Houston's Week 15 loss to the Colts.
Johnson never stood a chance on a day where Case Keenum barely resembled an NFL quarterback. Johnson was the intended target on each of Keenum's woefully under-thrown interceptions. It was a disastrous day for Johnson's fantasy owners, but he's been putting up with Keenum's wildly inconsistent play for weeks. He'll remain a low-end WR1 for Week 16 against the Broncos' burnable secondary.

Andre Johnson caught 13 passes for 154 yards in Houston's Week 14 loss to Jacksonville.
The 13 catches were a season high for Johnson, who tied Jerry Rice for the most 10-catch, 150-yard performances of all time (10). The big night came even as the Texans were compelled to bench Case Keenum for Matt Schaub midway through the third quarter. Johnson drew a mammoth 21 targets, getting open nearly at will for both quarterbacks. Now with 95 catches for 1,277 yards and five touchdowns, Johnson has been a bright spot in an otherwise lost season in Houston. He'll do battle with Indy's Vontae Davis in Week 15.

Andre Johnson caught eight passes for 121 yards in Houston's Week 13 loss to the Patriots.
With the Pats inexplicably failing to blitz Case Keenum, Houston's quarterback and No. 1 receiver got their connection working again. New England also opted not to shadow Johnson with Aqib Talib, leaving him literally wide open more than once. Johnson would have had an even bigger day if not for two drops. With 75 percent of the season now in the books, the future Hall-of-Famer is on pace for 109 catches, 1,497 yards and seven touchdowns.
