Holmes caught two passes on five targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 24-13 win over the 49ers. Holmes led Raiders wideouts in catches and yards, with tight end Mychal Rivera and fullback Marcel Reece accounting for most of the team's production through the air (173 of 254 yards). The 26-year-old Holmes has now gone six games without a touchdown and has exceeded 30 yards only twice over that span. He's unlikely to recoup any significant value over the remainder of the season.

Holmes caught 5-of-10 targets for 55 yards in Thursday's 24-20 win over the Chiefs. Holmes did most of his damage on one play, out-jumping Chiefs cornerback Ron Parker for a 37-yard gain down the right sideline. Holmes otherwise managed just 18 yards, despite easily leading the team in targets. While his size and speed remain intriguing, there isn't much upside to be had in Oakland's passing game, and Holmes hasn't played well enough to justify more looks.

Holmes caught two passes on six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Chargers. The six looks were a team-high, but Holmes finished fourth the club in receiving yards, behind Kenbrell Thompkins (47), Mychal Rivera (40) and James Jones (35). Holmes went for 121 yards and two scores against San Diego back in Week 6, but he's exceeded 34 yards only once since then and the Raiders will face a Chiefs team next week that is allowing a league-low 201.6 passing yards per game.

Holmes caught 2-of-4 targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss at Seattle. Oakland struggled in the first half, and when they got things going over the final 30 minutes, it was TE Mychal Rivera that scored twice. Derek Carr didn't have a great game, completing 24-of-41 passes for 194 yards, although he spread things around, limiting Holmes' opportunities. He'll have another tough matchup in Week 10 against the Broncos.

Holmes caught five passes on seven targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Browns. The score, a 10-yard hookup, came with seven seconds remaining, saving what otherwise would have been another disappointing game for his fantasy owners. He only saw seven targets on a day when quarterback Derek Carr attempted 54 passes, fewer looks than James Jones (11), Mychal Rivera (9) and Kenbrell Thompkins (8), but Holmes has now caught touchdowns in three of his last four games and is arguably the most viable fantasy option on the Raiders right now.

Holmes had three receptions on five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's loss to Arizona. Holmes failed to capitalize on the momentum he had built over the last few weeks, getting shut out until late in the game. He also had two drops, although the second would have been a very tough grab on the sideline. On the bright side, no Raiders' pass catcher did much, as Derek Carr struggled by throwing for just 173 yards with no touchdowns. Holmes will try to get back on track in Week 8 at Cleveland.

Holmes hauled in 4-of-8 targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Chargers. The third-year wideout got behind single coverage on the Raiders' third play from scrimmage, resulting in a 77-yard score in the opening minute of the game. Holmes then used his great size and athleticism to make a catch along the sideline in the second quarter, which went for 30 yards and set up a score to James Jones, before connecting with quarterback Derek Carr again in the fourth quarter from six yards out. With 195 yards on 20 targets in his last two games, Holmes has established himself as a player who should be owned outside of the shallowest of leagues.

Holmes had five catches on 12 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Dolphins. Holmes moved into the starting job opposite James Jones after Rod Streater suffered a foot injury that will keep him out for up to five weeks, and he delivered in his first game in an expanded role. His 12 targets were double the next-highest receiver (Jones, six), while his touchdown came on a 22-yard pass from backup quarterback Matt McGloin, who entered in the third quarter after Derek Carr was knocked out with knee and ankle injuries. Holmes has decent upside with that many targets, though the Raiders are off in Week 5 before facing a decent Chargers pass defense in Week 6.

Holmes is expected to move into a starting role with Rod Streater (foot) out 4-5 weeks, ESPN.com reports. Coach Dennis Allen said bluntly that Holmes "will be the guy" to replace Streater, though he mentioned Vincent Brown and Brice Butler as candidates for increased roles as well. It's worth noting that Allen did not mention Denarius Moore, who has hauled in just eight of 20 targets for 60 yards so far this season. The 6-foot-4 Holmes will make for an intriguing speculative add in deeper leagues, because while he racked up just 29 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Patriots, those yards came on a beautiful catch along the sidelines, and he also drew a pass interference penalty. Although Holmes did not catch a pass last season until Week 11, he still tied for the team lead with 10 receptions of 20-plus yards, and his size will likely make him a top candidate for red zone looks.

Holmes caught five passes on seven targets for 45 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Texans. After not being targeted in Week 1, Holmes saw seven looks against Houston, though five of them came in the fourth quarter, with the team trailing by multiple touchdowns. Still, he was on the field for 33 offensive snaps -- he was on the field for just one in the opener -- and could take on a more significant role this week if Rod Streater (hip flexor) is forced to sit. Further, the Raiders should have plenty of garbage time opportunities again in Foxboro, but until Holmes shows it on the field, he'll make for a tough hold, even in very deep leagues.
