Free agent C Andre Gurode reached out to the Dolphins following the news of Mike Pouncey's hip surgery. The Dolphins have yet to return Gurode's call, however. Pouncey is expected to miss some regular season action after undergoing surgery for a torn labrum. Gurode, 35, has started a total of nine games over the last three seasons and has been bouncing around the league since his five-time Pro Bowl days with Dallas.

Raiders C Andre Gurode was forced from Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a knee injury, and is questionable to return. It's bad news, as Gurode was filling in for starting C Stefen Wisniewski. RG Mike Brisiel has shifted to center.

The Contra Costa Times considers Andre Gurode the favorite to open the season as the Raiders' starting right guard. Gurode, 34, was signed off the street last month, and this is shaping up to be one of the worst offensive lines in the history of the sport. From left to right, the Raiders' line looks like this: LT Alex Barron, LG Lucas Nix, C Stefen Wisniewski, RG Gurode, RT Khalif Barnes. Expect the Raiders to be on the look-out for linemen when other teams start making final cuts.

Raiders signed C Andre Gurode, formerly of the Bears. The scrapheap team of the NFL, Oakland continues to build its "roster" with players written off by every other club. Gurode is 34 and hasn't appeared in a game since the 2011 season. Ideally, he won't play a down in 2013.

ESPN Dallas reports the Cowboys won't work out free agent C Andre Gurode. Despite reports to the contrary, the Cowboys apparently aren't interested in a reunion with their former nine-year starter after he had a down campaign in Baltimore last season. The 33-year-old five-time Pro Browler hasn't made a single known visit since the beginning of free agency.

The Dallas Morning News reports the Cowboys are looking at free agent C Andre Gurode. "He's on the short list," coach Jason Garrett said. "We'll see. We're still talking about where he is or where anybody is, really." If signed, Gurode would strictly be used as insurance behind Phil Costa (lower back) and Bill Nagy (high-ankle sprain). The five-time Pro Bowler hasn't received any other known interest in free agency.
