Lazard, who was a restricted free agent, officially signed his second-round tender from the Packers on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard was solid in a secondary role last season and ultimately finished with career highs in receptions (40), receiving yards (513) and touchdowns (eight). The undrafted wideout out of Iowa State could be in store for another career year in Green Bay after the Packers lost Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling this offseason, but the team made numerous moves during the offseason to bolster their pass-catching depth, most notably free-agent acquisition Sammy Watkins and 2022 second-round pick Christian Watson.

Lazard hasn't signed his second-round tender and isn't present Tuesday for the start of Green Bay's mandatory minicamp, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard remains a restricted free agent, meaning Green Bay's minicamp technically isn't mandatory for the wideout, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. The undrafted receiver out of Iowa State caught 40 passes for 513 yards and eight touchdowns last season, but he should see an uptick in volume in 2022 after the offseason departures of Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Davante Adams.

Lazard, a restricted free agent, is getting a second-round tender from the Packers, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard made some noise late last season and ultimately finished with career highs for catches (40), receiving yards (513) and touchdowns (eight), but there's no way any team will give up a second-round pick for the right to sign him. He thus figures to stay in Green Bay, while Marquez Valdes-Scantling faces an uncertain future as an unrestricted free agent. That doesn't mean Lazard will be handed the No. 2 receiver job, but it's well within the range of possible outcomes for his Week 1 role. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is officially signed, while top wideout Davante Adams has four months to work out a multi-year contract before the July 15 deadline for franchise-tagged players.

Lazard brought in his only target for six yards during the Packers' 13-10 loss to the 49ers in their NFC divisional-round matchup Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard came into the contest with some expectation of a possible bump in downfield targets with Marquez Valdes-Scantling (back) sidelined, but those never materialized in the disappointing end to what had seemed like a potential championship season for the Packers. The fourth-year pro did enjoy a serviceable regular season, establishing new career highs in receptions (40), receiving yards (513) and touchdowns (eight) across 15 games. Lazard will be a restricted free agent come the start of the new league year, and it remains to be seen what level of qualifying offer, assuming there is one, Green Bay will extend to the 26-year-old.

Lazard caught five passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns on six targets against Detroit on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard's role is somewhat limited with Davante Adams ahead of him and a strong backfield drawing usage in Green Bay, but he's a valuable role player for the Packers and probably their second-most versatile target behind Adams. While Lazard lacks the speed to threaten deep like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Lazard's ability to line up all over at wide receiver and even in a tight end-like look occasionally makes him viable for a variety of routes in the team's offense. He's been especially valuable in scoring range this year, finishing the regular season with 513 yards and eight touchdowns on just 60 targets (66.7 percent catch rate, 8.6 YPT) in 15 games.

Lazard hauled in all six of his targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-10 win over Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
The Packers' No. 2 wideout role has seemed to alternate between Lazard and Marquez Valdez-Scantling (one catch for three yards) in the second half of the 2021 campaign. The former was the receiving option to step up behind Davante Adams (11-136-1) this time around. Lazard has quietly been a consistent fantasy option of late, contributing three touchdowns over the last four weeks while seeing his role expand in the running game (three carries for 32 yards over that span). It's unclear how much playing time the starters will get in a meaningless game against the Lions next Sunday, but Lazard could be in line for extra work in the second half of the contest even if everyone suits up.

Lazard brought in two of five targets for 45 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 13 yards in the Packers' 24-22 win over the Browns on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard found the end zone for the second time in the last three games when he recorded an 11-yard scoring grab in the latter portion of the first quarter. The fourth-year wideout now has a career-high five touchdown receptions and four straight multi-catch tallies, but he hasn't topped the six receptions or 75 yards he recorded in Week 14 versus the Bears in any other game all season. Lazard's penultimate regular-season opportunity to build up his numbers comes in a Week 17 home matchup against the Vikings.

Lazard caught two passes for 23 yards and had one carry for five yards in Sunday's 31-30 victory over the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard had a couple chances to find paydirt in Sunday's contest, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers misfired in both instances and Lazard wound up doing little for fantasy players. Lazard is locked into a key role, so he will have a chance to bounce back in the Packers' Christmas Day matchup with the Browns. However, he will have his work cut out for him against a Cleveland defense that has fared well against wide receivers in recent weeks.

Lazard had six receptions (seven targets) for 75 yards and a touchdown while adding 14 more yards on one carry in a 45-30 win over the Bears on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard turned in his best fantasy performance of the season one game after posting a dud (13 yards on a 33 percent catch rate). The 25-year-old hasn't taken that next step to become a reliable fantasy option quite yet, but Sunday's showing proves that he has the ability to produce such lines. The seven targets marked a new season high, surpassing his previous high of six that he tallied last week. It could be worth snagging Lazard if he's sitting on waivers now that he appears to be fully healed from a shoulder injury. The Packers will take on the Ravens next Sunday, who are currently the most-generous defense in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing wideouts, and are also without top corner Marlon Humphrey (shoulder) for the rest of the year.

Mon 11/29/21 10:40 AM

Lazard was targeted six times and caught two passes for 13 yards in Sunday's 36-28 victory over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Lazard returned to action Sunday after sitting out Week 11 with a shoulder injury, and although he did not start for just the second time in his 10 appearances this season, he was still on the field for 53 of a possible 82 snaps, which were four fewer than the wide receiver who played the second-most snaps -- Marquez Valdes-Scantling -- and over twice as many as fourth-place finisher Equanimeous St. Brown. The six passes in Lazard's direction tied a season high, but he was not able to do much with the opportunities. Lazard could be back with the starters after the Packers' Week 13 bye, but with just four catches -- one of which did go for a touchdown -- for 39 yards over his last three appearances, he's going to be tough to trust in fantasy lineups.
