Blue rushed eight times for 46 yards in Sunday's 23-21 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
The 46 yards tied his season high, which came in Week 5 when he started for an injured Lamar Miller. With the Texans shifting focus to a more run-oriented offense, there are opportunities for Blue every week -- he averages 10 carries per game -- but he has just one touchdown. Until he starts getting carries inside the 5-yard-line, Blue is a nice-to-have backup for bye weeks.

Blue amounted 39 rushing yards on 15 carries during a 19-17 win against the Broncos on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The fifth-year man has been ice cold of late, with seven consecutive performances of fewer than 3.7 yards per rush, and a 2.7 YPC average overall during that span. With D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) on the shelf, Blue has garnered 13-plus carries over four of the past six weeks, but he's failed to take grasp of the opportunity, never eclipsing 46 rushing yards and failing to get into the end zone across his past eight games. Houston's next matchup on Nov. 18 doesn't provide great reason for optimism, taking on a Redskins defense that ranked top 3 against the run before Tevin Coleman exploded for 88 rushing yards (156 total yards and two touchdowns) in Week 10.

Blue rushed for 28 yards on eight carries in Sunday's 20-7 win over Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
The Texans' much-maligned offensive line had its best game of the season in Week 7, paving the way for a season-high 141 rushing yards while limiting the Jaguars' highly rated pass defense to one sack and five quarterback hits. While most of those rushing yards were gained by starter Lamar Miller, Blue could get more use Week 8, when the Texans have a quick turnaround Thursday against Miami. Miller's 22 carries in Week 7 were a season high, and he may not be ready to handle a similar workload four days later. Additionally, the Dolphins are allowing 136.7 rushing yards per game after they were gashed for 248 yards by the Lions in Week 7. Thursday's game should be an ideal affair to feature Houston's ground game.

Blue had seven carries for 26 yards and caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Blue was back in a secondary role with Lamar Miller (chest) ready to handle the burden of being Houston's lead back after suiting up but not playing last week. Blue's greatest contribution to effort was a fumble recovery deep in Texans' territory, allowing Houston to hold possession and march down the field for a game-tying field goal. His nine touches were about his season average when Miller is healthy, so it's back to normal. What hasn't been normal for Blue is his use as a receiver. His 15 targets and 11 receptions are just shy of his previous career highs (15 catches, 18 targets).

Blue will start Sunday's game against the Cowboys in place of Lamar Miller (back), who is listed as active but not considered likely to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The report suggests Miller won't see much work, if any, unless there's an emergency situation. His active status nonetheless makes this a tricky situation, as it's a bit confusing why the Texans would keep Miller active if they don't think he's healthy enough to contribute. In any case, Blue seems to be in line for the start and most of the carries, with Tyler Ervin potentially stepping in for passing downs.

Blue is first in line to start and handle most of the snaps at running back Sunday against the Cowboys if Lamar Miller (chest) is inactive, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Bill O'Brien classified Miller's status as a game-time decision Friday, which came after the Texans' lead back managed only a limited practice session. While working behind Miller this season, Blue has handled 29 carries, producing 116 yards and a score. The 27-year-old would be in store for his most substantial role to date if Miller is sidelined in Week 5, but it may be tough to justify rolling with Blue in lineups. The Texans and Cowboys won't kick off Sunday until 8:20 p.m. EDT, so clarity on Miller's situation may not come until after the first two waves of games have already begun.

Blue rushed for 31 yards on 12 carries during Sunday's 37-34 win over the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Ten of Blue's touches came in the fourth quarter and overtime with Lamar Miller sitting out. No injury was reported for Miller, but his status would obviously play into Blue's value. The fifth-year back was solid in a supporting role to start the season, scoring a touchdown in Week 1, but has averaged just 2.75 yards per rush over the past two weeks. If he sees extended time on Sunday, he's in for a tough matchup against Dallas' top-10 rush defense.

Blue had four carries for 13 yards and caught his lone target for four yards in Week 3's loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Blue's 17 yards from scrimmage was the fewest he's had in the three games to start the season. The Giants, who entered the game ranked 29th in rushing yards per game allowed, shut down what had been the league's top rushing offense -- Lamar Miller was held to 10 yards on 10 carries. The Texans offensive line took another hit Sunday, which could hurt the running attack going forward. One week after losing left right tackle Seantrel Henderson (ankle) for the season, left guard Senio Kelemente was unable to start Sunday after injuring his knee during warmups.

Blue carried seven times for 36 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Titans in Week 2.
EDGE Analysis
Blue once again provided adequate relief for starter Lamar Miller, averaging 5.1 yards per carry after averaging 7.2 and scoring a touchdown last week. Unlike Week 1, he didn't get any red zone carries, and the Texans never possessed the ball inside the 5-yard line where Blue could be used as the bigger back.

Blue carried five times for 36 yards and scored a touchdown in Week 1's 27-20 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Blue scored Houston's first touchdown, bouncing outside from the 1-yard line untouched as the offensive line sealed the edge nicely. He had started the drive, was replaced by Lamar Miller when Houston went into hurry-up mode, then came back into the game when the Texans got near the goal-line. It's not clear if Blue will be the automatic choice inside the 5-yard line going forward, but as a bigger back, he could get his share of carries in the red zone.
