Free agent RB Ahman Green now says he's not retired and is planning to make a comeback attempt.
Green retired last August after being cut by the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, but he's since had second thoughts. "I've got at least five years left in me to play football," said Green, 35. Green says he's willing to play special teams to get a look. "Just put me anywhere," he said. "I'm a football player first. ... If a team wants to call me and show serious interest, I'll be ready." It's not happening.

Former Packers RB Ahman Green announced Friday that he is retiring from football.
Green was recently released by the CFL's Montreal Alouettes after playing last season with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks. A well-rounded workhorse with blocking ability, pass-catching skills, and break-away speed in his prime, Green walks away as the Packers' all-time leading rusher with 8,322 of his career 9,205 yards. Green earned four trips to the Pro Bowl while setting Green Bay's single-season record with 1,883 yards and 20 TDs in 2003.
