Robinson was released by the Giants on Saturday, NFL.com's Conor Orr reports.
EDGE Analysis
A fourth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Robinson boasts an impressive combination of strength and size, but he's only caught five passes in 19 career games. It appears Jerome Cunningham will make the final roster as the Giants' No. 3 tight end.

Robinson is likely battling Jerome Cunningham for the team's final tight end roster spot.
EDGE Analysis
It looks like Larry Donnell and Daniel Fells will make the team, so it's either Cunningham or Robinson. Both are big and athletic, but neither is likely to get opportunities barring a cascade of injuries, and even then the team might look to a free agent if the position got thin.

Robinson did not see a single offensive snap Monday night.
His athleticism and physical skills are great, but his football ones so far have been lacking. Larry Donnell has the job for the time being.

Robinson fumbled away his only reception in Thursday's preseason finale against the Patriots.
The Giants will likely go with a committee at tight end, and while Robinson has the most athletic ability of the bunch, he may not even make the roster. Based on how things transpired this preseason, even if he makes the team, Robinson probably won't see more than a handful of snaps in Week 1. Larry Donnell and Kellen Davis are the favorites to pile up snaps and targets, though there probably won't be many of the former for Big Blue's tight ends.

Due to inconsistent play from the team's tight ends, the Giants are going with a committee at the position, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Robinson has the most talent, but he's raw as a route runner and blocker. Of course, the team might quickly scrap the committee as soon as someone distinguishes himself. So far that hasn't happened yet, however.

Robinson caught two passes for 59 yards on four targets in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts.
Although he saw all four of his targets in the second half, and did all of his damage on the Giants' final drive, Robinson may be able to work his way up from the No. 4 spot on the depth chart. The Giants once again started Larry Donnell, a slow-footed 2012 UDFA with no upside as a receiver. While the Giants don't figure to use their tight ends as a big part of the passing game, Robinson is the only player with enough potential to put any dent in that mindset. He also appears to be on the roster bubble, so there should be superior options available in the late rounds of most drafts.

Robinson had a strong showing Thursday, his second day in a row with heavy reps on the first team, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
He had been buried on the depth chart earlier in camp, but he's the only tight end on the roster with upside, and it's considerable, given his freakish size/speed (6-4, 264, 4.56 40) combo.

Robinson has one reception for nine yards and two total targets, one of which he dropped, over the team's two preseason games.
Robinson is also buried on the depth chart for now behind largely talentless journeymen. Robinson has the size and speed to be a significant factor, but he'll have to play better in camp to earn the chance.

Adrien Robinson is listed as the No. 5 tight end on the Giants' initial training camp depth chart.
Yikes. Blocker and special teamer Larry Donnell is listed as the No. 1. That should tell you this isn't a serious exercise, but it's painfully obvious Robinson failed to impress this offseason. At this point, it wouldn't be the most shocking thing if he was left off the 53-man roster. The G-Men are going to go with a committee at tight end. Robinson is highly unlikely to come into any fantasy value.
