Shaheen (chest) is listed as inactive Saturday at Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Despite practicing in a limited basis all week, the Bears won't take any chances with their rookie tight end, who has shown promise the past five games with 10.4 YPT and two touchdowns. Dion Sims and Daniel Brown will handle the bulk of the tight-end reps Week 15.

Shaheen (chest) is questionable for Saturday's game at Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Limited by a chest injury during Week 15 preparations, Shaheen will enter the weekend with a fog hanging over his status. Granted, his ability to practice makes him a decent bet to suit up, but the Bears won't confirm it until the release of their inactive list at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday. If active, his track record of late could yield fruit, as evidenced by 10.4 YPT and touchdowns over the last five games.

Shaheen (chest) was listed as limited on Tuesday's injury report, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaheen, the rookie, has been more involved in the Bears offense since a Week 9 bye. During that five-game span, he's reeled in 11 of 12 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. His usage may be a bit inconsistent behind starting tight end Dion Sims, but the end-zone visits are a nice payoff in the stretch run of the season. As for Shaheen's health, expect clarification on that front in advance of Saturday's contest at Detroit.

Shaheen caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Shaheen was targeted a season-high five times against a Bengals secondary that was without three of its four starters, and he was wide open on three of his receptions. He should've had an even better day, but the one target he failed to haul was a drop that would've resulted in a short touchdown. It's difficult to predict continued success for the remainder of this season for the rookie tight end, as he was targeted just once over his previous two games, but his dynasty stock is sky high.

Shaheen wasn't targeted in Chicago's loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a pair of fairly-productive performances when Dion Sims missed time, Shaheen has caught just one pass for one yard over the remaining 10 games. Although his dynasty stock is strong due to his outstanding athleticism, he won't likely have fantasy value this season unless the team goes into evaluation mode or should Sims miss additional time.

Shaheen caught all four of his targets for 41 yards and a touchdown during Chicago's 27-24 loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Shaheen helped extend the Bear's lead in the first quarter, running to the back corner of the end zone to haul in a one-yard touchdown pass -- his second of the season. Shaheen, a small-school prospect out of Ashland, was quiet to start the year with just two targets through eight games. He's seen six targets in the past two weeks and has caught them all. It seems like he's adjusting to the considerable uptick around him. With little else to play for this season, look for Chicago to see what they have in young offensive weapons like Mitchell Trubisky, Tarik Cohen and Shaheen.

Shaheen caught two passes for 39 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Before this game, Shaheen had caught just one pass for a two-yard touchdown, but with Zach Miller (knee) out for the season and Dion Sims missing this game due to illness, he saw his most playing time of the year. He caught both of his targets, and turned one of his catches into a 31-yard gain, but once Sims returns, he'll likely continue to see very few targets. Regardless, he's still an excellent player to stash in dynasty leagues.

Shaheen could start at tight end and see increased snaps Sunday against the Packers, Chris Emma of 670 The Score Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Bears invested a second-round pick this past April in Shaheen, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound behemoth who has excellent speed for his size. As a small-school product out of Ashland, Shaheen wasn't tested by high-level competition in college, which has likely resulted in a longer learning curve that has prompted head coach John Fox to limit the rookie to mostly special-teams work this season. However, with starting tight end Zach Miller (knee) out for the season and the No. 2 option on the depth chart, Dion Sims (illness), inactive Sunday, Shaheen should have his best opportunity to date to showcase his skills with the offense. If Shaheen is able to capitalize on the added snap this week, he could continue to have a role in the game plan in future games even once Sims returns.

Shaheen caught his only target for a two-yard touchdown in Sunday's win over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
With the Bears running a play at the goal line with multiple tight ends on the field, Shaheen found himself uncovered in the back of the end zone where he caught the easy scoring pass. Although he profiles as an outstanding stash in dynasty leagues, he's not seeing enough playing time to be a factor for fantasy teams at this time.

Shaheen (hand) returned to Sunday's game against the Steelers, Jay Cohen of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaheen's hand seems to be holding up as he caught a two-yard touchdown pass in his return. Still, the 6-foot-6, 270-pound tight end isn't expected to continue this production as his snaps continue to be limited behind Zach Miller and Dion Sims.
