Former Bills DE Aaron Schobel told the Buffalo News Thursday that he now plans to stay in retirement. NFL Network reported Wednesday that at least "a few teams" had reached out to Schobel in retirement. The Buffalo News confirms that Schobel was "flattered," but has no plans to make a comeback. The 34-year-old's career ended after the 2009 season. Schobel is second in Bills history in sacks, behind Bruce Smith.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that former Bills DE Aaron Schobel is contemplating a return to football. There were some internet rumblings of this possibility last week. Schobel turns 35 before the season, but La Canfora reports that at least "a few teams" have reached out to the former two-time Pro Bowler. Just for dot-connecting purposes, some coaches with which Schobel has a background include Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey, Browns DC Dick Jauron, and Giants DC Perry Fewell.
