Jones restructured his contract with the Packers on Thursday to create roughly $3 million in cap space for the 2022 season, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Green Bay converted $3.85 million of Jones' salary for 2022 into a signing bonus and added two voidable years to the deal. The news comes one day after Kenny Clark agreed to a similarly significant restructure, moves which may signal the team's intention to keep its current roster relatively intact and target another playoff run. Looking ahead to the 2022 campaign, Jones stands to once again be deployed as one of the Packers' top offensive playmakers while sharing backfield work with teammate AJ Dillon.

Jones rushed 12 times for 41 yards and brought in nine of 10 targets for 129 yards during the Packers' 13-10 loss to the 49ers in their NFC divisional-round matchup on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Jones led the Packers in rushing yards, but it was his pace-setting receiving yardage tally that made his night a spectacular one for fantasy purposes. The fifth-year back also tied Davante Adams for the team lead in receptions, with the highlight of his night a spectacular 75-yard catch and run down the right sideline just before halftime. Jones logged his fewest carries since 2018 this past regular season as backfield mate AJ Dillon (chest) increasingly expanded his complementary role with strong play, and both backs are likely to be deployed in a similar arrangement in the 2022 campaign.

Jones (knee) practiced fully Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Typically, Jones has had some sort of practice limitations at the first practice of the week since hurting his knee Week 10. With the benefit of the Packers' first-round bye, though, he was able to handle every rep during Tuesday's session, displaying his overall health. Jones and AJ Dillon thus are unimpeded as the team prepares for Saturday's divisional-round game against the 49ers.

Jones (knee) practiced Wednesday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones' participation in practice is a solid sign that he would have played in the team's Week 18 loss to the Lions if the Packers hadn't already clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed prior to the contest. As is, Jones sat out for just the second time all season, and he's now on track to return for a divisional-round matchup against either the Rams, Cardinals, 49ers or Eagles, depending on what happens in the wild-card round.

Jones (knee) is listed as inactive Sunday at Detroit, Mike Spofford of the Packers official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones has been tending to a knee injury that forced him to sit out Week 11 at Minnesota. While he's been able to play in the meantime and again was limited in practice during Week 18 prep, the Packers won't take any chances with their No. 1 running back, allowing him two weeks to rest up before the team's playoff opener in the divisional round. With Jones on the sideline, AJ Dillon and Patrick Taylor are the available options out of Green Bay's backfield in the regular-season finale.

Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Matt LaFleur said he'll play his starters, including QB Aaron Rodgers, who has dealt with an injury of his own throughout the second half of the season. Jones, of course, plays a more physically demanding position, and the Packers have a well established history of being careful with his workloads. It thus seems unlikely that he'd see more than a dozen or so touches this week, but it shouldn't be shocking if he suits up and takes some snaps, given that he's played in each game since Week 11. The Packers and Lions are part of the early slate of games this Sunday, scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Jones (knee) was limited at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
After having his reps capped at Wednesday's walkthrough, Jones maintained that activity level in the Packers' second session of Week 18 preparations. If precedent is any indication, he'll ditch his designation entirely for a fifth consecutive week upon the release of the team's final injury report Friday. During the preceding four-game stretch, Jones compiled 53 touches for 328 yards from scrimmage and three TDs, while fellow running back AJ Dillon tallied 51 touches for 245 total yards and three scores of his own.

Jones (knee) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
As has been the case since missing a Week 11 loss at Minnesota, the Packers are capping Jones' practice reps due to a knee issue. As he puts it further in the rearview mirror, he's also become more effective as both as runner and pass catcher, culminating with 13 touches for 106 yards from scrimmage this past Sunday against the Vikings. While his availability for a Week 18 visit to Detroit isn't in question, Green Bay may opt to limit Jones' snap count with the postseason in mind.

Jones rushed eight times for 76 yards and caught five of six targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 37-10 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was dealing with a minor knee injury during practice this week, but he was cleared for this matchup and looked explosive in limited touches. The 27-year-old was out-touched by AJ Dillon 16 to 13, with the latter getting both of Green Bay's rushing scores. The Packers now boast a dynamic one-two punch in the backfield, with Jones seeing action when the offense is in attack mode, and the beefier Dillon coming in to grind away the opposition when Green Bay is protecting a lead. With nothing left to play for before the playoffs, it will be interesting to see how much playing time -- if any -- Jones and the rest of the key starters receive against the Lions next Sunday.

Jones (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Jones has been a limited participant in nearly every practice since he missed Week 13 with a knee sprain. In three games since the absence, he's taken 30 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown to go with 10 catches for 63 yards and two scores on 11 targets. AJ Dillon picked up more carries in Jones' first game back, but it was the veteran who led the Packers the past two weeks with 13 carries against Baltimore and 12 against Cleveland.
