Dobson is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Dobson -- a potential downfield threat in the New England offense -- rejoins the Patriots' wideout mix this weekend, though we'd still like to see him turn in a full and production game before endorsing him as a fantasy lineup option.

Coach Bill Belichick indicated Friday that Dobson's deactivation from this past Monday's game against the Chiefs was a football decision, and not a disciplinary matter, the Boston Globe reports. Though a report had surfaced suggesting that Dobson's deactivation may have been related to a verbal disagreement with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, ESPN.com relays that Belichick refuted such a notion in a statement the coach made Friday. "In my year and a half with Aaron Dobson, he has always been respectful to me and to the rest of the coaching staff. He has never once been argumentative or confrontational," Belichick noted. "The suggestion and reporting that his playing time was in any way the result of a 'loud disagreement' with a coach is completely false." With that said, Dobson's status for Sunday night's game against the Bengals in unclear, though once he does return to action, the wideout retains the potential to emerge as a much-needed downfield threat in the Patriots' offense.

Coach Bill Belichick said Friday that Dobson was inactive the past two weeks for football reasons, NFL.com reports. In classic Belichick fashion, he didn't expound on those reasons, though he did refute the recent report that there was some type of altercation between Dobson and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Either way, Dobson's status for Sunday night's tilt with the Bengals remains murky.

The Boston Globe indicates that Dobson has been inactive for the Patriots' last two games because of reported issues that the wideout has had with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Per the report, Dobson "has had at least one loud disagreement" with McDaniels, which evidently led to Dobson being made a healthy scratch the last two weeks. At this stage, it remains to be seen if Dobson will suit up Sunday night against the Bengals, though in the event that he is re-introduced to the team's wideout mix, in time, Dobson retains the potential to emerge as a needed downfield threat for the team.

Dobson is inactive for Monday's game against the Chiefs. As is Kenbrell Thompkins, with the Patriots rolling with a Week 4 wideout corps of Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola and Matthew Slater.

Dobson does not appear on the Patriots' Week 4 injury report, the team's official site reports. Dobson, who was a healthy scratch in Week 3, could suit up Monday against the Chiefs, but he's not a viable lineup consideration until he turns in a full and productive game. There's still a chance he'll provide fantasy owners with some returns as the season progresses, but right now Julian Edelman is the only New England wideout who can be started with any confidence.

Dobson is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Dobson is the odd man out of the Patriots' Week 3 wideout mix, and with no reported injury setbacks, he is presumably a healthy scratch.

Dobson caught one pass for 13 yards in Sunday's 30-7 win over the Vikings. Dobson saw just two targets in the game, and while he has upside as a downfield threat in the Patriots' offense, he'll need to turn in a productive effort in that regard before fantasy owners can start him with confidence.

Dobson is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Vikings. We like Dobson's chances of emerging as a key downfield threat in the Patriots' offense, perhaps as soon as Sunday, with Kenbrell Thompson having been declared inactive by the team.

Dobson, who was a healthy scratch in Week 1, is not listed among ESPN's Mike Reiss' projected inactives for Sunday's game against the Vikings. We'll confirm that notion, one way or the other, in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but in the event that Dobson does rejoin the Patriots' wideout mix this weekend, we'd still like to see him turn in a full and production game before endorsing him as a lineup option. Down the road though, Dobson has the potential to emerge as a key downfield threat in the New England offense.
