Yakhouba Diawara will work out for the Heat next week, according to French website Catch and Shoot. Diawara played for the Heat from 2008 to 2010 before leaving the NBA for Europe. He's worked out for the Heat in the past but didn't end up with a contract. Most likely, they'll audition Diawara to see if he's worth a nonguaranteed contract and a shot in training camp.

Former NBA forward Yakhouba Diawara is on the verge of signing another deal to remain in Italy next season. Diawara is expected to sign with Cimberio Varese but this isn't a lockout-induced move overseas -- the defensive specialist played in Italy last year and isn't likely to resume his NBA career.
