Will Barton came off the bench for a season-high 20 points and a career-high 11 rebounds in Wednesday's blowout win over the Nets.
The Blazers cleared the bench and Barton took advantage tonight. The Blazers won't win by 44 points again this season and LaMarcus Aldridge and Thomas Robinson shouldn't be out much longer. Barton was a blast to watch tonight and probably helped a couple daily-league gamblers, but isn't likely to do anything like this again anytime soon.

Will Barton played 15 minutes against the Wolves on Sunday with five points, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.
This isn't a huge deal, but Barton has at least temporarily jumped C.J. McCollum for minutes on the wing. If you're in a league with less than 20 people, you can move along. There's nothing to see here.

Will Barton (concussion) returned to action in Friday's preseason game, starting at small forward and scoring eight points on 4-of-5 shooting with four rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 27 minutes.
It's probably more accurate to say the Blazers started a three-guard lineup with Damian Lillard, Barton and Wes Matthews. Once the regular season rolls around Barton will be fighting for a rotation slot.

Will Barton (concussion) will not play in Saturday's scrimmage.
It's not a surprise since Barton has to go through the league's concussion protocol. He should be on the court as soon as he's cleared, but is not likely to be in the rotation to start the season.

Will Barton (concussion) did not practice on Friday, but said he felt "110 percent" better.
Barton will go through the league's concussion protocol, but it sounds like he's likely to get back on the court sooner rather than later. When he returns he's going to be on the outside looking in at a crowded backcourt rotation.

Will Barton was seen limping on Thursday and did not practice due to a concussion.
Perhaps the early observation that he was limping was unfounded, but if it is true that's not a great sign from a concussion point of view. Barton is going to have his work cut out for him trying to crack the Blazers' rotation.

Will Barton returned from his right knee injury and hit a floater to beat the Hawks in Summer League play on Wednesday night.
He missed his last game with a sore knee, but finished with 16 points, eight boards, four assists and seven turnovers in tonight's overtime win. Barton has some skills, but it's still hard to see him stepping up his game enough this season to offer fantasy value. But for tonight, he's the hero. He was 0-of-5 from downtown and 8-of-17 overall in Wednesday's win, but will be playing behind Wesley Matthews this season. Rookie C.J. McCollum had 19 points and three 3-pointers to lead the Blazers tonight.

Will Barton (right knee) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Bulls.
It's minor and there will be no need for medical testing. Barton suffered the injury on Sunday and couldn't put much weight on his right leg. He has a strain in his knee, so that means it's not damage to a ligament. Barton had a strong finish to the year while the Blazers were banged up and should have no problem making the regular-season roster. Victor Claver (thigh bruise) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game.

Blazers guard Will Barton left Sunday's game with an apparent right knee/ankle injury.
He went directly into the Blazers' locker room without putting much weight on the injured leg, and we can only hope that he's cleared of structural damage.

Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool critiqued Will Barton's performance after he scored 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting during Saturday's exhibition.
"He just has to be a little more patient. Let things happen, let things come to him," said Vanterpool. First game jitters aren't unexpected, especially with Barton eager to seize a bigger role (he played 33 minutes), and we'll see whether he can play a more controlled game vs. the Lakers on Sunday.
