Wes Matthews (hip) started Sunday's game and played the first four minutes, but he "didn't feel right" and will not return.
We knew that Matthews wasn't completely healthy, so this isn't a complete surprise. The silver lining is that it seems he just wasn't ready to play, as opposed to aggravating the injury, and Portland gets three days of rest before their next game vs. Denver on Thursday.

Wesley Matthews (hip) said that he will play on Sunday.
Matthews has missed the past two games and may not be 100 percent healthy, but as one of the league's toughest and most durable players he's going to suit up vs. the Hornets.

Wesley Matthews (hip) did not practice on Saturday.
Wes has missed two games due to a hip flexor injury and he's shaping up to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Hornets. He has a reputation for playing through injuries, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him miss the third game of his career. Luke Babbitt makes for a short-term speculative add.

Wesley Matthews (hip) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Spurs.
A hip flexor can be troublesome for some players, so owners should just hope that Wes will be able to give it a go on Sunday vs. New Orleans. He's one of the toughest players in the NBA and we're not betting against him.

Wesley Matthews (hip) is doubtful to play against the Spurs on Thursday.
Wes aggravated his hip injury in pre-game warmups on Monday and all signs point to him missing tonight's game. Monday was the first game he's every missed as an NBA player and owners should be hoping he'll suit up for Sunday's game against New Orleans.

Wesley Matthews (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday.
Matthews has said he plans to play Thursday against the Spurs, but another missed practice isn't a good sign. We were hopeful he would be able to get on the court today, but it appears the hip injury is lingering. We'll keep an eye on whether he can participate in shootaround tomorrow before labeling him out.

Wesley Matthews (hip) did not practice on Tuesday and remains questionable to play vs. the Spurs.
The good news is that Portland has another day off before hosting the Spurs on Thursday. Matthews has vowed to try to play in that game, and while his toughness isn't an issue, it's unclear whether he'll physically be capable. Hopefully we'll see him back on the court during Wednesday's practice.

Wesley Matthews (hip) said that he will play on Thursday against the Spurs.
Matthews would probably try to play with a broken hip so we'll be watching him closely to see what the team says. In the meantime, with the Blazers' wings all banged up guys like Will Barton, Luke Babbit, Sasha Pavlovic, and Victor Claver are in line to benefit.

Wesley Matthews is still a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Raptors.
Matthews added that he's "feeling better." He's going to prepare like he's going to play and see how he feels after getting shots up in pre-game warmups. The 26-year-old guard hasn't missed any games in his NBA career, so playing through injuries is nothing new for him. Stay tuned.

Wesley Matthews (hip) did not practice on Sunday and will be a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Raptors.
He said that be can barely lift his right leg yesterday, but he's feeling better today. Matthews has been one of the most durable players in the league, but his hip flexor injury could certainly keep him out of the lineup for a game or two. His owners should be planning accordingly.
