Wembanyama, who's listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Denver due to right ankle soreness, is a "true 50/50" after participating in San Antonio's morning shootaround, NBA reporter Matthew Tynan reports.

Tynan notes that it was a light shootaround, with no up-and-down court time, but Wembanyama participated during the portion of practice open to the media. Despite being active Thursday morning, the superstar's status for the evening tilt against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, who are on the second night of a back-to-back set after blowing out the Rockets on Wednesday, remains up in the air. If Wembanyama doesn't suit up, it would be his first absence since missing two consecutive contests at the beginning of January due to left calf soreness. This win over the Rockets was the third straight game in which Wembanyama recorded at least 27 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. He's averaging 21.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 4.5 blocks and 1.2 steals per game since the All-Star break.

Wembanyama supplied 27 points (11-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes in Friday's 116-112 win over the Clippers.

After scoring 38 points in 39 minutes during Thursday's win over Detroit, Wembanyama saw limited minutes in the second leg of this back-to-back set. However, he made the most of his playing time, leading San Antonio in scoring while fueling the team's comeback victory after the Spurs faced a 20-point deficit at halftime. Wembanyama also grabbed a game-high 10 boards en route to his sixth double-double across nine outings since the All-Star break. He has recorded at least four blocks in all but one of those nine games.

Wembanyama finished with 38 points (12-24 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 16 rebounds, three assists and five blocks in 39 minutes during Thursday's 121-106 win over Detroit.

Shifting to the other end of the court, Wembanyama continues to put together eye-popping production, as he's tallied 15 swats over that same three-game stretch.

Wembanyama ended Tuesday's 131-91 victory over Philadelphia with 10 points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, six blocks and three steals in 24 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Tuesday's game wasn't close, so head coach Mitch Johnson had the luxury of giving his starters some extra rest. Over his last six appearances, Wembanyama has averaged 18.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 29.9 minutes per game.

Wembanyama struggled with Detroit's physicality at times on the offensive end, as he appeared to be more concerned about drawing fouls rather than focusing on finishing at the basket. However, he still managed to reach the 20-point threshold despite hitting only six attempts from the field. Wembanyama was far more impressive in other areas, as he secured his best rebounding performance since Oct. 30 and dominated as a rim protector.
