G League Santa Cruz waived Blue on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Blue had played reasonably well for the Warriors this season, racking up 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 43.2 percent from beyond the arc over 14 games. Barring a claim on waivers, Blue will be headed for free agency.

Blue had three points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two steals and one assist in Sunday's loss against Salt Lake City.
EDGE Analysis
Blue struggled mightily from the field during the blowout loss Sunday, as the guard finished last on the team in points scored while shooting just 11.1 percent overall. The Marquette product has been sluggish offensively to begin the G League season; he's shooting just 32.4 percent from the floor and averaging 7.2 points over the first five games this year.

Blue was drafted in the second round of the 2019 G League draft by the Santa Cruz Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
The Marquette product hasn't seen much NBA action since entering the league in 2013, playing in just 10 games over three seasons. Blue appeared 39 games a year ago for the Texas Legends, averaging 10.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 27.7 minutes.

Blue (undisclosed) scored 11 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and posted just a single rebound, assist and steal in the win Friday over the Skyforce.
EDGE Analysis
Blue made more of an impact Wednesday, playing 27 minutes and scoring 14 points before fouling out, so given the guard only saw the court for 19 minutes on Friday, it appears as if the Legends are intent on managing the playing time of the former Marquette star.

Blue was waived by the Lakers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The former Marquette standout had appeared in only five games for the Lakers, spending much of the year with the South Bay Lakers, where he averaged 19.0 points and 5.3 assists in just under 35 minutes per game. Blue will look to catch on with another team but will likely land back in the G-League.

The Lakers assigned Blue to the G League's South Bay Lakers following Monday's 114-96 loss to the Timberwolves, Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blue dressed for Los Angeles during both halves of the back-to-back set in Houston and Minneapolis, failing to leave the bench in the double-overtime loss to the Rockets before logging 17 minutes Monday. The appearance Monday marked Blue's first game with the Lakers since Nov. 17, and after failing to impress in the outing with one point on 0-for-2 shooting from the field, it's unlikely the NBA team will call upon him for major minutes at any point in the foreseeable future.

Blue has been recalled from the G-League's South Bay Lakers to join the NBA's Lakers for the team's four-game road trip, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The road trip begins Wednesday (Nov. 8) in Boston and ends Nov. 13 in Phoenix. Per his two-way contract, he's allowed to spend up to 45 days at the NBA level. Blue was excellent in the D-League last season, posting 24.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.

Blue signed a two-way contract with the Lakers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blue spent the 2016-17 campaign in the G-League, but absolutely dominated his competition and ended up with G-League MVP honors. He then joined the Lakers for training camp over the last month and coach Luke Walton likes his upside enough to bring him in on a two-way contract. That means that Blue will be able to spend up to 45 days with the Lakers, though the rest of his time will be with the team's G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Blue has shown plenty of promise with his offensive repertoire, but he will need to improve defensively to earn minutes in the big league. He'll remain off the fantasy radar.

Blue will be joining the Lakers on a partially-guaranteed contract, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blue, last season's G-League MVP, posted 24.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals across 34.9 minutes per game last season with the Los Angeles D-Fenders -- the Lakers' G-League affiliate. The 6-foot-5 guard did so while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and drilling 1.8 threes per game at a 35.1 percent clip. The exact details of Blue's deal with the Lakers haven't been released at this moment, but it seems safe to assume he'll join the squad for training camp in an attempt to make the final NBA roster. It'll be an uphill battle for the 25-year-old, as he'll be competing against the likes of Lonzo Ball, Jordan Clarkson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and others for playing time.

Blue did not receive a qualifying offer from the Lakers, making him an unrestricted free agent, NBA.com reports. Blue was signed by the Lakers for the last week of the regular season because they had so many injuries that they simply needed enough live bodies to play an NBA game. Seriously. With that said, at 22 years old, he remains an interesting 6-4 guard who could someday find his way into a consistent role in an NBA rotation.
