The South Florida Sun-Sentinel believes it's "highly possible" that Udonis Haslem could serve as the Heat's backup center behind Chris Bosh. However, Haslem really struggled last season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the team bring in another big man as an insurance policy. He'll look to bounce back from a season where he averaged 6.0 points and 7.3 rebounds on just 42.3 percent shooting, the lowest mark of his career.

Udonis Haslem will start at center for the Heat for Tuesday's Game 5. The Heat have been playing musical centers and Haslem gets the call tonight. Chris Bosh is set to return, but will come off the bench.

Udonis Haslem played 36 minutes in Miami's OT defeat in Boston on Sunday, racking up 12 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and one steal off the bench. Haslem justified Miami's small-ball attack, making 4-of-6 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs while easily outplaying new starting center Joel Anthony (two points, three rebounds in 15 minutes). Ronny Turiaf and Dexter Pittman both received DNP-CDs, and without Chris Bosh (abdomen) it seems the Heat will roll with a center rotation of Anthony, Haslem and LeBron.

Udonis Haslem has been suspended one game for his Flagrant-2 foul on Tyler Hansbrough during Game 5. Dexter Pittman has also been suspended, for three games, and with Chris Bosh already ruled out for Game 6 the Heat's frontcourt is especially thin. Shane Battier has already been checking David West at PF in the series, and we could see Juwan Howard or even Eddy Curry on the active roster for Thursday.

Udonis Haslem's flagrant-one foul on Tyler Hansbrough is "almost certain" to be upgraded to a flagrant-two foul, a source tells CBS Sports' Ken Berger. Berger also tweets that while a suspension is not automatic with an upgrade, it won't be ruled out in this case. We should have an update on Haslem's Game 6 availability and any other fallout from Game 5 before tipoff.

Udonis Haslem could be suspended for Thursday's Game 6 against the Pacers after clobbering Tyler Hansbrough midway through Tuesday's Game 5 win. Haslem was retaliating after Hansbrough committed a hard foul on Dwyane Wade, which included what may have been an intentional raking of Wade's eyes, too. Regardless, Haslem's foul didn't pretend to have any basketball purpose other than to inflict pain, and he's looking at a 50-50 chance (at best) of playing on Thursday.

Udonis Haslem is starting in Tuesday's game against the Celtics. The Big Three is resting, but Haslem will continue to grind it out. He's averaged a mere 4.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in his eight starts this season, but figures to have more opportunities Tuesday night.

Udonis Haslem set a new season-high with 15 rebounds vs. the Wizards, adding six points, two assists and three turnovers in 29 minutes. The Heat were playing with a skeleton crew tonight, allowing Haslem to play a bigger role than usual. Don't give him a second thought unless you're targeting rebounds and/or FG percentage.

Udonis Haslem (illness) started at power forward Sunday, but had zero points and two rebounds in just 17 minutes. With Carmelo Anthony playing the power forward spot, Haslem was rendered a non-factor once again. He hasn't topped 14 minutes in any of his last three games.

Udonis Haslem (stomach virus) will start on Sunday against the Knicks. Haslem returns after a one-game absence and will resume his starting role against New York. Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) remains sidelined for Miami.
