The Hawks recalled Cavanaugh from the G League's Erie BayHawks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The Hawks have five players on their injury report heading into Tuesday's game against the Thunder, so there's a good chance Cavanaugh will be active for the contest if multiple players are unavailable. Don't expect Cavanaugh to see much meaningful playing time behind frontcourt starters John Collins and Dewayne Dedmon, however. Cavanaugh hasn't appeared in a game for the Hawks since Jan. 17, when he made a five-minute cameo against the Pelicans.

Cavanaugh (ankle) posted seven points (2-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 15 minutes during Sunday's G-League matchup against Iowa.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh missed around a month and a half of action with an ankle injury, but after being assigned to the G-League last week, has been able to play in a pair of games. He's logged 13 and 15 minutes, respectively, during those two contests, so it's clear he's being eased back into the swing of things. Cavanaugh appears to be over the ankle injury, but when the Hawks will ultimately recall him is still to be determined. Prior to the injury, Cavanaugh was playing just a minor role for the Hawks and likely won't have much utility in fantasy leagues once cleared.

Cavanaugh (ankle) has been assigned to the G-League's Erie BayHawks for rehab, Michael Cunningham of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh has missed the Hawks' past 17 games while nursing an ankle injury. More information on his recovery should be available assuming he goes through practices and games in Erie.

Cavanaugh (ankle) will remain out for Wednesday's tilt with the Pacers, KL Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite sitting out for over a month, the Hawks have yet to provide any sort of update on Cavanaugh's injury, so it's unclear just how close he is to making a return. For now, he'll continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis and until he's reported to be back at practice, a return from Cavanaugh shouldn't be considered forthcoming. His next shot to play will be Friday against the Warriors.

Cavanaugh (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Lakers, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh has been sidelined for just over a month now and the Hawks haven't provided any sort of timetable for his return. For that reason, he'll continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis, with his next shot to return coming on Wednesday against the Pacers. Even when he's back to full strength, Cavanaugh will likely struggle to post fantasy relevant numbers considering he struggles to see more than minutes in the teens most nights.

Cavanaugh (ankle) has been ruled out for Fridya's game against the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh has been out since the start of February and wasn't able to go through practice earlier this week, so this latest update doesn't come as much of a surprise. He'll have the weekend off for some extra rest and rehabilitation, but it's certainly possible Cavanaugh misses more time moving forward.

Cavanaugh (ankle) was unable to practice Wednesday, KL Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh has been sidelined since early February with an ankle injury and appears to still be dealing with some discomfort. He was unable to take part in practice Wednesday, which doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Friday against the Pacers. Tentatively consider him questionable for that contest, though even if he were to be cleared, Cavanaugh would likely only play a small complementary role off the bench.

Cavanaugh (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Cavanaugh will remain out through the All-Star break as he continues to nurse a sprained right ankle. The Hawks will also be without Dennis Schroder (back), Ersan Ilyasova (shoulder) and Kent Bazemore (rest), so several role players will be in line for increased minutes Wednesday.

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer suggested Tuesday that Cavanaugh (ankle) might not resume playing until after the All-Star break, KL Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh turned his right ankle in his most recent outing with the G League's Erie BayHawks on Feb. 3 and rejoined the NBA team the following day so the training staff could monitor his injury. With the All-Star break just over a week away, it appears the Hawks may be inclined to keep holding Cavanaugh out for the next five games just to afford him some additional rest. Even when healthy, Cavanaugh wasn't included in Budenholzer's rotation, so his expected absence won't have much of an impact in the fantasy realm.

Cavanaugh (ankle) will not be available for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavanaugh continues to deal with a sprained right ankle, which will keep him sidelined for a second straight contests. The 23-year-old hasn't been a regular in the rotation since early January and can safely ignored in most fantasy formats.
