Tornike Shengelia signed a three-year deal to play with Baskonia of Spain. The Bulls waived him in April after he played just just nine games with them last season as well as 17 games with the Nets. Shengelia and Baskonia have reportedly been in talks since earlier in 2014 after the Nets waived him, but now it's official.

Toko Shengelia will reportedly be traded from Brooklyn to Chicago in a deal which will be finalized next week. The Nets get PG Marquis Teague in return. Shengelia may earn a handful of backup minutes behind Mike Dunleavy, but it will take an injury for him to become a viable fantasy option. In 17 appearances with the Nets this season he's averaging 1.5 points while shooting 0-of-6 from downtown and 3-of-8 from the FT line.

The Nets have recalled forward Tornike Shengelia from their D-League affiliate in Springfield. Shengelia will help the Nets with some depth as they play the second game of a back-to-back set on Saturday night, but he has no fantasy appeal, averaging just 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds in 15 games with the big club this season.

The Nets sent Tornike Shengelia back to the D-League on Sunday. He was temporarily called up with Andrei Kirilenko (back spasms) unavailable on Saturday, though he didn't play vs. the Pacers. Brooklyn has off until Wednesday and Toko's re-assignment to the D-League shouldn't be taken as evidence that Kirilenko's back spasms have subsided.

Shengelia is no stranger to the D-League, having averaged 24.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Springfield Armor last season. On a positive note, he's been fully practicing for over a week after missing a few months following knee surgery.

He had surgery in late July to repair his meniscus and remains without a firm return date, even though he was initially expected to participate in training camp. The Nets roster is too crowded to anticipate value from Toko under the best of circumstances.

There was a report on Friday night that a Spanish team was trying to pry Shengelia away from the Nets, but that was shot down. He isn't going to get much playing time with the Nets adding a ton of depth in the offseason, so it's not too surprising that rumors would surface.
