Mitchell's last NBA action came with the Bucks during the 2013-14 season, playing in just three total games. He's spent the last three years overseas playing for a variety of different teams, but will now head back Stateside to join the Heat. That said, Mitchell is fully expected to be waived prior to the regular-season opener next week and plans to join the Heat's G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Mitchell has signed with Aquila Basket Trento of Serie A. Mitchell inked a 10-day deal with the short-handed Bucks during the 2013-14 season but otherwise spent the majority of the year with Fort Wayne of the NBA's D-League. In 30 games at the latter, the 25-year-old guard averaged 20.2 points (on 43.2 percent shooting), 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 28.5 minutes.

Tony Mitchell made his NBA debut against the Kings on Wednesday, scoring two points with one board in three minutes.
