Updating previous reports, the Grizzlies are reluctant trade Tony Allen along with Tayshaun Prince to the Wolves in exchange for J.J. Barea and Chase Budinger. CBS Sports' Ken Berger now reports that trade talks have reached a "logjam," and USA Today's Sam Amick reports that the Grizzlies are "very unlikely" to part with Allen in the proposed deal. According to Amick, Memphis may also suspect that the talks are a play for Minnesota to gain leverage in another trade discussion (one which isn't being as aggressively leaked to the media). Stay tuned.

A potential trade sending Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince to the Timberwolves has "gained momentum," according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports. The basic elements of a proposed Wolves/Grizzlies trade has now been reported by multiple sources. If such a deal goes through it might involve Chase Budinger and J.J. Barea going to Memphis, where the solid play of Courtney Lee and James Johnson have made the idea of losing Allen more palatable.

Tony Allen (wrist) will not play on Tuesday. Allen hasn't played in six weeks and he was having trouble dribbling during non-contact workouts in early February. Wwners should consider him 'out indefinitely', and this solidifies Courtney Lee's value for at least a while longer. Allen and Tayshaun Prince were both linked to the Wolves in recent trade chatter, but as with most rumors it's far from certain anything will come of it.

Tony Allen (hand) is a game-time decision to face the Knicks on Tuesday. He last played on Jan. 3 with his hand injury and a lot has changed since that date. James Johnson has been very effective at the forward spots while Courtney Lee turned in quite a few gems in the starting lineup at shooting guard. Allen's perimeter defense is almost too valuable to keep out of the lineup, so it'll be interesting to see how the rotation on the wing works out. He's worth owning in most leagues as a steals specialist.

Tony Allen (hand) will not play against the Magic on Wednesday. He's been out since Jan. 3 wit his hand injury and the Grizzlies have been quiet for the most part. It should be inserting how the team will shift their rotations upon his return based on the very impressive play they've gotten out of Courtney Lee and James Johnson. It makes a lot of sense to stash Allen through the break in most formats.

Tony Allen's injured wrist will sideline him again on Tuesday. He's also expected to sit out Wednesday's game, giving him an extra week of rest by sitting out through the All-Star break. His value once he's at full health is also questionable, as both Courtney Lee has emerged as potential threats to his starting SG job.

Tony Allen (left wrist) isn't expected to play until after the All-Star break, according to coach Dave Joerger. This isn't a surprise given Allen's recent admission that his wrist still hurts when he dribbles, and it means at least four more starts at SG for Courtney Lee. The Grizzlies first game after the break comes on Feb. 18, at home vs. the Knicks, so hopefully Allen will be ready to go for that game.

Tony Allen returned to practice on Friday and plans to continue 5-on-0 drills, but he said that his sprained left wrist still aches when he dribbles, pushes off or makes a fist. The veteran SG said he hopes to return "soon" and he's officially day-to-day, but it doesn't sound as though his Grade-2 sprain, which involves partially torn ligaments, has fully healed. Courtney Lee has played well in his absence and Allen is not guaranteed to start upon his return, so fantasy owners should view him cautiously until we've seen him playing in a game.

Tony Allen (wrist) went through a non-contact workout on Wednesday and he's doubtful to play vs. the Mavericks. There's still no return date for Allen but it's nice to at least see him back on the court. The Grizzlies have played well with Courtney Lee as a starter, and he spaces the floor in a way Allen can't, so it will be interesting to see what Dave Joerger does with his rotations once everyone is healthy.

Tony Allen (sprained left wrist) still does not have a timetable for his return. According to coach Dave Joerger, Allen will participate in the non-contact part of practice on Tuesday. The Grizzlies are going to wait until the weekend to make a determination on Allen's timetable as they want to give him a chance to increase his activity level in practices later in the week. Allen could be a cheap source of steals upon his return and it will also be intriguing to see how his return affects the playing time of Courtney Lee and James Johnson.
